Hello, everyone. It's been a while since I've made an announcement like this, but I'm afraid I've been a little busy lately. I hadn't intended to stop taking clothing commissions, but I've been training with Lady Orihime over the past few weeks to learn more about creating divine raiments and it's been taking up most of my free time. I've finished my first major project, though, so I've got a little more flexibility lately.

I still won't be taking commission work until I've finished my training, but I do have enough time to open the temple up for beauty treatments. The pools in the garden behind the temple have healing properties and help keep skin soft, and I can also do hair and nail work for anyone who's interested. In addition, I'll be teaching a sewing class once a week at Hakkai's school. And once Lady Orihime is satisfied with my progress, I'll be able to start making clothing again too. So if anyone is interested in any of that, feel free to let me know and we can either set up an appointment at Lakshmi's temple or get you enrolled at the school.

[Forrest smiles, nodding at the feed.]

[Forrest frowns a little. He didn't mean to upset her.]

Actually... I may have an idea.

[Oona tilts her head, curious]

This idea is...?

...Would you sing for me?

[She is a mermaid, after all. Nearly every world has legends about them, and they usually involve singing at some point. And from Forrest's perspective, she doesn't seem like the type to use her song to lure him to his death or anything. Oona may be free spirited and a bit rambunctious, but she's never given him reason to fear something like that.]

Sing? [Oona looks baffled.]

Eh, mean... Can, yes. But no one has asked before... [Well, to say her name, which is also like a song, but that's not the same. She scratches at her cheek.] Sing... Yes. Will do that.

Have type of song in mind? [Love, loss, hunting, something fun, or something sad-- or anything in between. She supposes she could just sing her name and he wouldn't be able to tell, but that seems like cheating.]

[It's actually how he got the idea - from hearing her younger self making singing noises as she tried to adapt her speech. He seems pleased at her agreement.]

Know plenty of those. [She looks amused about it somehow, and a little sad.] Like those types most of all.

['After all'...? She tilts her head in confusion, and then her eyes go wide in delighted surprise] Ah, those! Lost them!

[She still doesn't like to wear shoes, but the sandals did help and Forrest had spent time making them for her, so she'd been a little bummed about losing them. She didn't really know how to go about telling Forrest she'd lost them anyhow, but thankfully this did away with the need to do so]

Will get them! Ah- You know? Got new shinki. Turns into shoes. [MAKES A FACE.]

Wonderful!

[Forrest smiles, setting down her shoes and clapping his hands together excitedly.]

Ah... well, congratulations on the new shinki. I hope they're at least comfortable to wear?

Suppose so, but... Clothes! Had to get shinki that becomes clothes. They are laughing at me!

[She huffs] Your clothes are pretty, so is fine sometimes. But would still want without.

Yes, that is rather unlucky...

[Poor Oona. He really does feel bad.]

Well, I'm sure you'll manage to work something out.

[Her life is suffering, Forrest. Pat her on the head and give her fish.

Anyway. Moving on, because she's curious] Why training with Orihime? Clothes you make are fine enough, what is difference?

[The difference between divine clothing and whatever he usually makes, she means.]

That's true, but if I'm not constantly pushing the limits of my own talents, I'll never be able to improve. I've already learned so many new things about fashion since coming here, and training with Lady Orihime has opened my eyes to even more possibilities.

Do you have goal? As in... Ultimate thing to make? A dress with all the colors in the world, or shoes that can make someone fly-- something like that?

[Forrest smiles, nodding back at her.]

I want to learn how to make enchanted clothing, the way Orihime does.

To help people, yes? [Siiigh.]

Forrest, you are too nice. People will take advantage, you know. [Despite her light tone, it's a warning all the same.]

That's right. I'm not very good at fighting, so this is my way of contributing.

It's all right. I'm not completely helpless, if it comes to that. But I also don't want to let that stop me from doing my best for others.
