I am aware that many people changed ages recently, for reasons unclear. However, I must ask... did any others here, gods or shinki, in fact become an entirely different entity? As if you were another person, not yourself?

I believe this happened to me because I am a goddess, an Aesir, and not a mortal ascended to this role... but I would like to know.

And what of the dead? They are composed of spirit as well, aren't they?

Einherjar are. Shinki are not. This is readily witnessed by observing that shinki may travel to the Far Shore without requiring divine materialization.

I'm not speaking of Einherjar or shinki in this case.

The only other dead I know of are the ones condemned to Niflheim.

However, I accept that in other worlds, the dead behave different than how I expect based on my own. This own world is proof enough. Nevertheless, the presence of shinki demonstrate that the dead may continue to have or express a material form.

Why are you willing to accept that the dead behave according to different rules here while remaining rigid on the point that spiritual beings cannot be subject to magical aging? That may be true in your world as well, but it may very well not be the case here.

What is your opinion on those who died in their worlds and came here not as shinki, but as gods? Would that change your perspective?

Because it is not possible for me to have been a human. Therefore we must find another reason for me to have become someone different. That is all there is to it.

Then my best guess is back to past life, or perhaps apotheosis. What is your earliest memory? Did you simply come into being as you are now?

You may also be misunderstanding something -- the Aesir do not age. At best perhaps it may be a dream... when the souls of Valkyries lie dormant, we do indeed dream.

That wouldn't discount either of the possibilities I mentioned, though I do confess I don't know if reincarnation is part of your people's mythology.

It is complicated, but to simply things, let us simply say that what you would consider reincarnation is not possible outside family lines.

And Valkyries are simply something you've always been, rather than a role you were chosen to fill like the Einherjar?

Of course. It is not as it is here, where random people are selected to arbitrarily assume the title of a god. I believe I have mentioned on numerous occasions that this world's methods are ridiculous beyond words.

I remember precisely what it meant to the girl Platina. That name has no meaning to the Valkyrie.

What is the answer to her dilemma, then? Why don't the gods do more for their people? Surely you have a more personal perspective on the matter.
