I am aware that many people changed ages recently, for reasons unclear. However, I must ask... did any others here, gods or shinki, in fact become an entirely different entity? As if you were another person, not yourself?

I believe this happened to me because I am a goddess, an Aesir, and not a mortal ascended to this role... but I would like to know.

and youre not a shinki so its not like its dangerous to ask why that is
if im determined to doubt its because youre determined to sweep this under the rug
but why put the question to the prying eyes of the masses if thats all you were going to do

I am an Aesir, a goddess. That is not possible, for a great number of reasons.

I await your explanation as to how my very nature could change. Do you know that we gods do not have a physical form as mortals understand it? We are beings on another level. To walk on Midgard -- even here, to approach the Near Shore, I must deliberately materialize a body for myself if I wish to interact on the physical plane.

How, then, could I have possibly been mortal?

I may be the current incarnation of the archangel of knowledge, but I hardly claim to be all-knowing myself. I just think it's unlikely that one among us could have been singled out and changed into another person entirely, especially since this seemed more like an accident than something intentional.

The explanation is as I have proposed: it affects different beings different. Recall that I am Aesir, a being you would consider to be entirely 'of spirit'. Mortal, physical bodies were aged; is it so surprising that a 'body' which is neither of those would be differently affected?

And what of the dead? They are composed of spirit as well, aren't they?

Einherjar are. Shinki are not. This is readily witnessed by observing that shinki may travel to the Far Shore without requiring divine materialization.

I did in truth become another. I went by another name and channeled powers different than that which I feel raging through my blood now. My attire was also impractical for my current existence but suited my new one well enough.

Nae, I am a shinki. One of the many who travel this land. When the powers that struck matured me I went by a different identity than I do now. I still had no memories but I knew my name to be different than I do now as well.

Did you remember your time in the Far Shore, after your death, when you were aged?

No, it seemed like my death came later in my life than it does now. This youth, my sword, the power flowing through me. All of it was lost to the haze of a forgotten life.

I wonder if that means my surety of my death is not as sure as originally thought.

Or perhaps you were indeed another person entirely. I would... not be displeased if that were the case, and another here proved to suffer the same change.

What could such a thing mean? Am I to be reborn a master of the dark arts? An arcane trickster? Is my soul so great that one vessel cannot contain it?

As I am not to be reborn, I must speculate that in some way we simply became different people entirely. Mine certainly had no connection to me in any way.
