I haven't been here long but my god vanished before I ever got to meet him which makes me wonder: what the hell is a shinki good for? What are we supposed to do? Is there any point in serving a god if they can just vanish?

That's frustrating.

[Still, she may have to go look that guy up. If she's right about his motivations, she approves of him, sight unseen.]

If you have a place to stay that does remove the obvious reason for finding a god. Are you thinking of getting one anyway? Or not?

I think that's a little like asking the meaning of life. The point of a shinki is doing what you want to do as a shinki.

I've found my god's not hard to work with. I don't think I'd have done as well on my own.

As far as I'm concerned, if my god kept me from pursuing my goals without a good reason, I'd want a new god.
