Alright, here we go.

[The video clicks on to show Izumo, who looks as if he’s just finished running a marathon. Behind him, it’s obvious he’s standing what appears to be an abandoned temple before the video moves to the side, showing Goten.]

Here, Goten.

Are you sure it’s on? [Goten peeks into view, looking at the screen with wide eyes. His hair is messier than usual, sweat beading under his bangs. But his smile is big as ever.]

Hey everyone! Izumo and me did some training together. It’s a lot of fun so you should try it to. Izumo is one of the strongest people ever and he can get you stronger too! Right, Izumo? C’mon you gotta tell them or no one is gonna want to come!

[Izumo adopts an expression of feigned exasperation, though anyone could see the fondness in his eyes as he ruffles Goten’s hair.]

You might be exaggerating there, Goten. [But he does look at the video, a smile on his face.] But anyone’s welcomed to come and train with us if you’d like. The more, the merrier.

Yeah! But you should train with us! Sparring, shinki stuff, any of that stuff is good! It doesn’t matter how good you are at it either cause we wanna get stronger too and the only way to do that is to keep training!

[Goten’s fist shoots into the air as he gives a quick nod.] But you gotta be nice cause Izumo sorta shy about his powers.

[He tilts his head back to flash a playful grin up to the older shinki before looking back to the video, waving.]

I would have to be wary not to let my blade strike should the opportunity arise. I would like to see if I am capable through other means, or if I will be relying solely upon the mastery of the edge.

[He's... not sure what to make of these two but he does enjoy the offer.]

It was indeed the fair maiden Kairi who made the first offer. After I meet with her I would enjoy testing my new talents against you and take on what teachings you can offer.

[Goten just smiles up at Izumo when the Hand Swords-guy mentions Kairi's name.]

That's perfect! Kairi is super good too so it'll be fun to see what you can do too. I wanna see how strong you are too!

[Izumo laughs a bit.]

Then come and find us whenever you want to test your new talents against us. We'll be waiting.

I will at that. Until we meet again, or until our destinies intertwine, fare thee both well!

Hey mister! Can I ask you something first?

[Curiosity has been eating at him this whole time. More so since Goten is having a hard time understand everything he's saying.]

Why do you talk so funny?

[thehandhungers]

[Because he's decided this is how he talks now, okay? It's forced and totally made up on the spot but still.]

I am the Hero beyond Life and Death, and this is how I speak. My power, my curse, is evident even without my memories and thus I am as only I can be.

[Not an answer.]

....so if I became a hero I'd talk like that too?

Each will find their own way. Every hero has nuance and their stories will unravel as they dictate.

If you were to take up my mantle, though, I'd assume you would strive to match my potential and to drive my legacy into the future as it is intended.

[Owain enjoys kids, they take him seriously and that's all he really wants.]

Until such a time, find your path to being a hero, seek out your way and make your mark. Make it unique to you and let all who come after know you've been here.
