What harpooned?

[.... he's still working on his text recognition.]

Normally, I would find him in soaking in the bathtub, but he wasn't there or anywhere. No matter how much I tried calling out to him, there was just no more connection.
[text]
are you going to be OK? Somebody colander
volunteered
to help you out right?
[text]
Yeah. I have a few close friends coming over.
Are you still getting used to your phone?
[text, several minutes later because he's given up on swiping and is tapping letter by letter now]
anyway you should take care of yourself. eat your favorite dinner and hug your friends.
and get a new shinki soon because it's no good for anybody to be alone.
[text]
Maybe I'll have his favorite dinner because now I won't have to eat it as much...
[Even though it's a sad thought, when else is he going to eat obscene amounts of mackerel?]
I don't really know how to just...get a new one, though. Haru and I have always been a pair. I've known him since we were toddlers.

[text]
I mean, well, gods grow too and he's always liked the water. So since he was alive and a toddler I watched over him because I am the god of the sea and he swims like a dolphin.
[text]
[That makes it so much sadder! Poseidon must be one of the old gods to have been following his shinki for so long. And if he took in the shinki's spirit after his death, to have him just disappear like that...
That's awful. Tsuzuki hesitates over what to say -- he doesn't understand, exactly, and he doesn't know what it must feel like to a god to lose somebody like that, but he can't just not respond.]
wherever he is now, I'm sure he wouldn't want you to be sad! he got to know you, and that's something special, no matter what else happens.
[text--it takes a little longer than normal because EMOTIONS]
You're right. I hope that he had a good time with me.
Nothing can replace what we had, but I really hope that if I get another shinki, I can give them a good bond, too.
Thank you...
[text]
you seem like a good guy, Poseidon. whatever shinki you get's lucky to have you.
[text]I
I really appreciate your help. It's going to take a while to adjust, but your encouragement definitely helps that.
[text]
seriously it's the least I can do though. if we run into each other on the near shore I'll buy you a drink.

[text]
take care of yourself in the meantime!
