#showerthoughts #meta [VIDEO POST]
[Takuma propping up his head in his hand with his elbow planted firmly on the table.]
If you say "oh my god" as a shinki, are you referring to your own god? Do they feel it every time you say that?
If you say it as a god, who are you referring to? Are you talking about a god you really like?
Also, is it normal for shinki to refer to their god by their god name or their whatever name?
What if your shinki form was a toilet or a trash receptacle? What would you do then?
If a god were to pray, who would it be to? Would it be like someone who idolizes a J-Pop star?
These are the important questions.

Re: Video;
Then I found myself with my own thoughts and decided to share some of them.
Re: Video;
[This is very obvious sarcasm. Erk rolls his eyes, and sighs again.]
Fine, since we're already this far into a discussion...
[He counts off his answers on his fingers:]
I have never said "oh my god", and have no plans to start. If one of the new gods said it, I would assume they were referring to whichever god they worshiped before becoming one. A shinki should call their god by whichever name their god prefers. If one's vessel form is... particularly unfortunate, that shinki should find other ways of being useful. And I see no reason why a god could not pray to another god, seeing as each has their own specific dominion.
Re: Video;
Ah...wait...
So the gods here weren't always gods before? They're all newbie gods?
Re: Video;
Not all of them, no. There are gods who have always been gods, but there are others who were... appointed, I suppose you could say. They were once ordinary people.
May I assume that you're a new arrival?
Video;
I am a fairly new arrival! I've only been here for about a week now.
What about you? Are you a god or a shinki?
Re: Video;
[He's obviously had a lot of practice pronouncing both of those names.]
Mm... I'm sure it's no less unnerving for them than it is for us. You can't tell an old god from a new one by appearance, however. Nor am I aware of any instances of new shinki being assigned to old gods...

[He looks thoughtful for a moment. His eyes closing then opening slowly. The conversation is going from ridiculous to things that actually make sense to wonder about.]
I wonder if there was a reason we were assigned to a certain god. My god and I are fairly opposite in personality. But maybe that's where they get the phrase "opposites attract".
Video;
The general consensus appears to be that it's random. If there is any rhyme or reason behind our assignment, I don't believe anyone's worked it out yet.
I've also been fortunate to have gods I get along with. Not everyone is so lucky.

Of course, I'm sure it isn't always so simple. Be grateful you got paired with a good one.
