To Whom It May Concern:

I am Kurosaki Hisoka, a shinigami of the Summons Division assigned to Kyushu. For more than a month now, I was placed with my partner, Tsuzuki Asato, under the role of a divine vessel. Due to a situation beyond our control, this is not the case any longer. If I caused you any concern, I would like to speak with you.

I have recently been informed that I have had the title of the god Fudaishi transferred to me. I understand that this is an anomalous situation, so I'm looking for information on the following subjects:

• Navigating Heaven's bureaucracy


• Current research in the transferrance of divine power


• Mechanics of how gods handle stray souls


• Divine spells governing loss of memory

[...Okay so maybe he's a little more upset about this than he thought he was. But Yamato's never been one for holding back when he's upset, and fear and guilt and sadness make him harsh and snappish. He's lashing out, because he doesn't know any better way to say "I'm sorry, I wish I'd done a better job at keeping you all safe".

The saving grace in all of this is that, as always, his own god is at the forefront of his thoughts. He doesn't want to sting Shepard, so instead of going off on an even worse tirade, he manages to tone it down to curtness.]

if youre a god now then you have shinki to protect you so be more careful next time

[Because who knows if this sort of thing will happen to any other shinki? Yamato cares about them a lot more than he cares about the gods, and the thought of losing Yuuki or Yukine or any of the other friends he's made here, because of some foolish quest...

There's concern for Hisoka and Tsuzuki in there too, amongst the barbs and thorns. He's glad everything worked out for the best, in the end, but. It could very easily have gone horribly wrong, and stayed horribly wrong. He's not going to forget that so easily.]

[ No one could know how close to bone this struck. Hisoka's been there once before. He'd been reckless and stupid, and he'd gotten someone under his care killed. That's a wound that won't heal any time soon, but... ]

I know. I have no right to let my own selfishness endanger others, and I'll do everything I can to make sure I won't. But it's not that simple.

I don't doubt that it was badly planned and shouldn't have happened at all. I don't have to remember anything to know that. No one should have ever gone into Yomi, but they did anyway.

Even if they endangered themselves, I can't accept just sitting by and letting other people die.

Fight to the end, take out as much of the enemy as you can before you die. Never, ever leave a comrade behind." These are values seared into his bones, and even if he doesn't know where they come from, he can't fault anyone else for sharing them.]
