Well, I was speaking figuratively. I doubt it's anything worse than talking back to their parents in most specific cases.

Still, with shinki, guilt and despair will sting our gods. It's probably for the best that we don't remember our time among the living.

I don't think I've said it's a punishment. It's more that shinki can't afford to know too much. It's dangerous for us, after all.
