Greetings to everypony. My name is Princess Celestia, and here I have assumed the role of the god Inti.

This is not too far away from my role in Equestria, and yet this world's sun seems to require no intervention -- magical, divine, or otherwise -- to keep it moving neatly through the sky. I am also told that the moon keeps its own schedule irrespective of the night. All things considered, I have to conclude that things work very differently here.

Nonetheless, I am particularly interested in meeting other gods whose domain includes the sun. I would like to invite you all to my temple, so we can greet each other and learn more about our gods and our purposes of here. (Of course, anypony else is welcome to come as well. I have so much to learn here!)

Lastly, please allow me to conclude with a compliment to these amazing communication devices -- but perhaps we could find a way to make them more accessible? I am fortunate to have my magic, but if an earth pony or pegasus were to come here, they might have a terrible time with working these things.

Perhaps, but the laws of physics take care of that by itself. As the Earth revolves, it gives the impression of the sun moving across the sky. The universe works in strange ways.

Which is a very unusual state of affairs, I must say. Much as I note the moon here does not even pretend to obey the proper day-night cycle, and ambles about the sky on its own terms.

It is all quite strange, I really must say.

The moon and stars are always there, we merely fail to notice it when the sun's light overshadows them all.

Science is odd, especially as a god, but uncovering the laws of nature is one of humanity's great achievements so I can hardly pretend it doesn't exist.

I assure you, I am quite familiar with science! But the sun and moon do not work that way where I am from -- nor do the seasons, nor the weather, as you might expect.

Don't you think the natural world would be in huge trouble if it relied on supernatural help to keep running?

Not in the least. To the contrary, do you think the human world does not suffer because humans are at the mercy of a random nature, instead of being its custodians?

There are certainly things beyond our control, but at the same time, I don't trust anyone enough to entrust the rising of the sun each day to. Except perhaps myself.

You would feel different about that, if the sun did not rise on its own, I think.

[pathofheaven]

If the sun didn't rise each day, there might not be a humanity to complain about that.

But I suppose in that world we'd need gods.

Or ponies, at the very least. I can assure you the system has worked out very well for us!

I don't doubt it, but who will raise the sun back home now that you're here?

My sister, I expect. I raised the moon for her for a period of time, so I am certain she can do the task.

Well then, it seems you have it all sorted out.

Absolutely! You see, our way is not so bad, and it even has its advantages as well!
