so uh
i have seen certain kinds of relationships between gods and shinki argued for or against and all that
but this isnt really about that
what i want to know is more
what are you supposed to do as a shinki if you cant help having certain feelings for your god
and you KNOW that your god knows about this?
i mean its hard to avoid if you keep stinging your god every time you look at them in a certain way
right???
my god doesnt seem angry about it or anything
actually they seem to think its fun
and you think they could show a bit of compassion and wear a bit more clothes around the temple but nooooo
im just wondering what im supposed to do about this
its getting embarrassing :(

God, shinki. Master, servant. Stupid! Who cares. Let them kiss, have sex, relationships. If both want it, who cares? What is harm.

[But since this apparently isn't self-evident any more--]
The harm comes from the fact that masters and servants play very different roles, and both have responsibilities to one another, and neither can fulfill their obligations if those boundaries have been blurred. A master cannot prioritize the well-being of a servant over his other duties. That would be to do a disservice to everyone else who relied upon him.

So? Why do you care if it does not have impact on you? If both are happy, why would you want to destroy it? Do you hate happiness?
Stop thinking of terms of 'master' and 'servant.' Why not just' friends' or, eh... Eh? What is word... Not friends, but together... [Oona's nose wrinkles as she struggles to remember the word, floundering helplessly in her lack of a decent grasp on language.] It starts with 'a'. Work together. ["Allies" is what she's going for here.]
Know what mean!

[Not listening, and responding like a child. As if one's own happiness was worth turning the world upside down.]
Because masters and servants are not simply friends or allies. The relationship is entirely different, and it has its own place and merit even if you refuse to see it. And since you clearly are not listening to a word I say I fail to see the point of continuing this conversation.

Am listening. But it is simple solution. If relationship is difficult because of those labels, then, change labels. Change relationship.
No, am listening, just think you are very sad. It is sad, to not have anything willing to risk things for. Unromantic, to never have wanted to defy things for sake of love.
You are very pretty, but it is shame pretty face is wasted on someone with no passion. [it's a lot of assumptions, but Oona is nothing if not brutally honest in her opinions and observations.]
no subject
[No passion--
[No, that is not what is going on here.]
And how dare you make such assumptions about a man you have never met? How-- first you insult me, then you ignore me, and now you claim you know all there is to know about me? You know absolutely nothing, and as if that were not sin enough you are proud of it!

So angry! There is the passion! But why are you angry? Did nerve get hit, as they say? [Her tone is genuinely a little curious]
Why can not do things that way? Who said could not?
no subject
Maybe you should have listened the first time! And if you think I'm wasting any more time on this conversation when you have done absolutely nothing but insult me for disagreeing with you, you are mistaken. Goodbye!
[That sound you just heard was the dial tone.
[That sound you didn't hear? Kija throwing the phone at the wall and going to do absolutely anything else.]
