[Although it would be best if he saw to some of his prayers, instead Xehanort has picked up his notebook, a bit of tape and phone, shifted to the jackal-headed form most associate with the god Anubis, and gone looking for other temples nearby. He could have stayed in human form, but if he's intending to speak to gods and shinki both, isn't it best to be easily identified?

Once a temple is found, however, it's just a matter of looking for a door to knock on or a proper place to call out a greeting .. or even approach someone who happens to be standing outside.

He's really not that picky. God, shinki, it's all the same.]

[So someone wasn't home when Xehanort ventured to visit their temple. That's alright, there are a million things to do in a day. But at any temple that seemed occupied but nobody home, he's left a note.]

Greetings. I am Anubis; I visited your temple today but nobody was home.

I'd like to ask some questions about your experiences here (God or Shinki!), but since it seems I've missed you, perhaps you'd like to visit me instead, or leave me a message? I should be back at my own temple after sunset, but I can also be reached at [number] easily.

[Visiting Anubis' temple, on the other hand, is visiting a desert. It's dry, even with the bits of oasis-like pools here and there, but it's not completely uninviting.. if it's after sunset he'll be there.]

Winged orange boy...? Wolf...?

[He really needs to pay more attention to these things if these are the "new hires" so to speak. Maybe they're just very specific quirks... powers, really. Most people who come here aren't from Izuku's world, after all.]

I didn't have my quirk then and I'd have no experience fighting at all. ... I'm glad most of the people who end up here are teenagers and older.

[There's a slight nod. He's not exaggerating at ALL. Though Davesprite had been here for a little while as far as he knew, Amaterasu was recent. Probably there were even more unusual people about.]

..A word of advice, don't ask the orange boy if he might be a friendly ayakashi, he did not take it well.

[When you're new, you just don't KNOW these things, like 'what an ayakashi really is'. Frankly he'd looked a bit like one! But lesson learned, and now he can impart that lesson to others.]

I agree. .. By context, 'quirk' might be magic of some sort?

[Hey that's a word he doesn't know, but he can make guesses.]

Ah... I don't think anybody would take that well. I won't ask him that.

[Especially when he's felt the change from shinki to ayakashi from his bonds.]

Magic? Uh... it's more like a genetic thing. Where I'm from most people have a quirk of some kind. It can be something like super strength or making things float or generating explosions. They can really be anything.

[Xehanort has yet to encounter an actual ayakashi. Once he does, the differences will definitely be obvious enough that he wouldn't make that mistake again. Being told they were 'monsters' and seeing ONLY humans afterward seemed to suggest things..

..He'd learned otherwise.]

Ah, I see. What's usually known as superhuman powers back home.

May I ask what your quirk is?

It's basically physical enhancement. Increased strength, speed and reflexes.

[Not durability though, that he has to work on.]

Can you use it freely whenever you choose? How does it work for say, hand-eye coordination?

[Although he's obviously curious it doesn't seem like he has anything particular in mind when asking about it. The need to know was enough of a drive!]

Yes. It works for that too, as long as I've activated it. Otherwise my hand-eye coordination is pretty normal.

[Though "pretty normal" of somebody on this earth and somebody in a world filled with superpowers might actually be very different.]

That's very interesting! I wonder if you might be interested in running a few tests just for fun sometime?

[Tests. For FUN? But he does seem to mean well, and is genuinely interested.]

I'd like to see how it works in practice, and what the results are. And if the effect can stack with other similar gifts. ..Though that means finding someone else who can do it too, hn.

[How quickly the gleam of sudden interest dims at the prospect of having to find ANOTHER person like that, it'sj ust chance he found one at all!]

Mm... It should stack. My god... power, I guess, is to share powers with one other person. Uh, mine is a little difficult to use so the person I'm sharing with has to be pretty strong to begin with though. If they aren't, they'll... it's dangerous. Anyway, I can use it with Todoroki-kun, since I know he's about as strong as me, when I don't have my quirk active.

[Anything like concern is immediately waved off. He had nothing awful in mind.]

Little things, like pick up that rock. Now pick it up after a little boost, how much easier it is. Or tossing darts at a board, how much accuracy changes, or how fast one could run from here to over there and so on.

[It is really simple stuff but to him it would also be vastly entertaining.

When you say 'dangerous' do you mean minor injury, major injury or potential death?

I wouldn't mind doing that. [He can only use about 5% comfortably, and 8% if pushed, but even that is enough to break concrete.]

It depends on how strong the person is to begin with. If... say somebody wasn't already physically strong, they could explode. That's, uh, how it was described to me.

[Except now he has to weigh in the possibility of people exploding. That wouldn't at all help with any sort of tests that might be done, and would definitely ruin the evening.

If he looks a little shocked, it's probably reasonable.]

I think if we do try such tests we'll have to vet your partner in this experiment very carefully, I do not wish to be responsible for someone exploding.

[He knows that look very well. Not on a jackal's face, except maybe once or twice in passing, but on his own? Often.]

I've worked with Hajime when she's in her Gatcha form before. I think the base level is lifting about 176 kilograms comfortably.

[This tiny looking kid can lift 175 kilos with very little effort.]

[Xehanort's idea of how strong people should be is rather skewed, but he's pretty sure that's not precisely ordinary. But he did say his world was full of powers, so perhaps it was standard there.]

Do you think she'll be willing to help? Perhaps ask if she likes darts. I'll .. have to set some things up for a controlled environment..

[But it'll be interesting. Maybe isntead of throwing things at a dart board, get some water balloons as targets instead. He looked young, possibly his friend was too. Why not turn it into a game?]

You haven't met her yet, huh? She's really friendly. She'd be willing, most likely.

[Hajime is a force of nature in the form of a person. And she's friendly, he's a little surprised that not every single person knows her.]

I don't believe I have. I've not been here long, there's quite a few people I haven't met yet. A side bonus of this entire questioning thing, I suppose.. I'm certainly meeting a lot of new faces.

[At least now he had a potential second participant! He was going to have to design some things that'll be both fun for those two and good for information for him. He makes a low, thoughtful noise.]

Well, I'm pretty sure I can come up with something, location might take a little bit longer. I'd ordinarily open my own doors for this, but my temple sits in a desert and that might be a little more .. ah, unpleasant than necessary.

She's been here longer than I have. At least since February?

There are a few empty lots I've run into on the Near Shore. But those might be a bit conspicuous.

I can clean out a room if the tests aren't too destructive.

I'm hoping for benignly interesting tests. Fun for you and your friend, informational for me. ..Unless the both of you enjoy destroying things, I can .. probably find a nice empty spot but I'll have to insist on some form of protective gear.

Uh... I don't enjoy breaking stuff, but it happened a lot when I was getting used to my quirk. We should be fine to use one of the apartments then.

Ah, let's see. We were.. .. your experiences on arriving. You mentioned your shinki.. were you at least informed of what not to speak to shinki about?

Right. I did hear that. But it's more like... there's a bad feeling if I think about telling him anything? Like something awful will happen.

Um... You probably weren't around for this, but a month or so ago, there was a shinki who was told about their past. They transformed into an ayakashi.

I was not informed until the party, by another helpful god. Though I too had the ... unpleasant feeling that it would be a bad idea to even try, should I ever learn my shinki's past.

[Which frankly he only knew a tiny, tiny tidbit of, and wasn't inclined to share. Who wanted to hear about how they died?]

What happened to that shinki? I presume they were destroyed.

[It's perhaps worse when you knew that person during their life. There's so much he wants to talk about, but he's blocked off from it.]

He died. I don't know who killed him. When he turned everybody who had him as a shinki was blighted, when he died the blight stopped.
