Hey - so this temple.

[Doku has the camera aimed away from himself and it's a bit lopsided, but the place looks abandoned. It's not a very large temple, besides. He's at least learned that taking video means he doesn't have to text, so there's that.]

Any gods live here? Askin' 'cuz there's Soulless shinki around here and that seems like it. Just them.

[Apparently this is where Soulless shinki reside until they're assigned to a God.]

[...You know what, even Chikusa would have to admit that's kind of creepy, although it also makes perfect sense. Soulless shinki have to come from somewhere.]

There's no hints to who the god might be that owns it...?

...Strange… I wonder what would happen if you moved all the shinki elsewhere…. Would more fill their place or would they just return…?

[Something to check out- is it just a place to go, or somewhere they’re ‘born’?]

Then they should watch over them better. Gods and shinki aren’t the only thing around the Far Shore after all, right…?

[A talking two-tailed cat has invaded his life, he’s pretty sure there’s worse. Pessimism seems right. Although frankly... Chikusa isn't entirely sure if gods and shinki can be trusted either.]
kokuyoyo: (And the cops are back.)

[And with that, Chikusa just lays the phone down on a flat surface- a dresser maybe?- and walks away. For a moment, there’s just silence…. And then the sound of something scrambling against the floor and tearing down a hall.]

[Another bit of silence.]

[Footsteps, then, and soon enough Chikusa is just holding a cat over the camera. The cat, notably annoyed and sulking, is twapping around what looks like a split tail.]

[....Also enjoy those cat balls, Doku, uh, sorry]

And what would you know about what qualifies as ‘people’, you wandering jackanape?

[Yes, that is the cat talking. Yes, they are grumpy about still being held up.]

I don’t think so….

[The cat gives a kick, still not happy. It would bite, but that hasn’t affected Chikusa yet.]

SOMEone doesn’t know their Japanese lore.

Ignorant jerk.

[Chikusa’s voice comes from around the cat again.]

I think it’s something called a nekomata…. It just came into our temple and started hanging around one day…

Yes.

Just ignore it…

[Finally letting the cat go, it lands on what is apparently a dresser and then scurries away off screen. Chikusa picks up the phone again.]

But my point is…. There can be all sorts of things in the Far Shore. I didn’t know there were cats like that who could just get into your house and start eating all your food…. So there’s probably worse.

[Murphy’s Law, you know]

Alright... If anything interesting is found, let people know, I suppose...
