Has anybody seen Vector since that last time he posted? It sounded like he was going to head out right away. And I think he should have been back by now.

Also, does anybody know anything about what Hell is like here? Or how he would've gotten in?

I haven't been able to figure out how to get to the Summons Department to ask yet. I guess I lost that access along with the promotion.

So anyway, it'd be great if you could help! I'll owe you one! Thanks!

[Well.

That's an interesting question. Back home, Elsa could have assured Yamato that someone suitable would be found to take her place, and that things would go on as scheduled. Here... are there any other wisdom gods around? She and Hakkai have put so much work into the school, into working with their students, into making the library a haven for whoever wants it to be. The school is everything she's ever loved about teaching, and now she's ... going to the underworld in the hopes of finding a way to shake up the Heavens and maybe destroy their hold on all these souls they've brought in.

If she and Hakkai succeed, will they be separated? Will everything be set right? Will any of them retain their memories of their time as god or shinki?

Will her students think of her as someone who abandoned them?

And if she and Hakkai die...

After a pause (a delay that's notable because she's been firing off answers rather promptly this entire time, she replies.]

We won't die.

[Right. That pause doesn't go unnoticed, and he has to stop himself from burying his face in his hands so he can type.]

so you arent prepared then

[Clearly not, as much as Elsa seems to think otherwise. But Yamato has samurai etched into his very soul, and part of that is accepting death as a logical and inevitable occurrence. To refuse to even consider the possibility is...

He's disappointed. He's a lot of things of other things too, yes, but. Whatever expectations he'd had about her, about all of this insanity, they haven't been met. And he can stay and try to argue more and simply frustrate the both of them--

or he can fight in a way that might actually have an impact.

That's all she'll be hearing from him on this; he's gone to find his god.]
