Has anybody seen Vector since that last time he posted? It sounded like he was going to head out right away. And I think he should have been back by now.

Also, does anybody know anything about what Hell is like here? Or how he would've gotten in?

I haven't been able to figure out how to get to the Summons Department to ask yet. I guess I lost that access along with the promotion.

So anyway, it'd be great if you could help! I'll owe you one! Thanks!

[There are a lot of things he could say to that, and he starts and erases different messages several times. But he isn't Tsuzuki's shinki. And while he isn't exactly known for his tact and grace in conversation, he can't forget that he belongs to, and represents, Shepard. He doesn't want to alienate her from other gods, but he can't just stay silent on this either.]

We can try. Something different happened to her, though, so I don't think she's down there.

Vector told everyone he was going to the underworld. Bo disappeared, without any word, and Yuuki wound up assigned to somebody else on the spot.

We don't have any reason to think that Bo ended up in the underworld, not unless that's where all our missing gods are going.

[That's not exactly stellar logic, but then, Yamato cares a lot more about his shinki buddy than he does a god he's never met that intentionally left his shinki behind.]

she could have gone without telling anyone [Since apparently shucking off your shinki and flouncing down there is a popular hobby these days??] or taken against her will. shes missing just as much as vector is [No honorifics for Vector at all, ouch. The "so why aren't you launching an investigation for Bo too?" goes unsaid, but it's there, hanging on the end of his message.]

One god who disappeared the way Bo did has come back already, though. You know Tsukuyomi? Short guy, pale hair, also goes by Joshua?

He and his shinki vanished together and then he came back on his own.

[And without anywhere to start looking for Bo -- well, they tried. But hoping she'll come back on her own might be as much as they can do for her. At least Tsuzuki has hope, now. Not all the vanished gods are dead.]

[Odd... but Yamato still isn't convinced the two are entirely separate situations.]

didn't he say where he went? [If he vanished with his shinki then doesn't that mean he just went on a trip somewhere... unless Joshua has no memories whatsoever of his time away from heaven, and that's worrying. And not at all an indication that he wasn't in hell, in Yamato's opinion.]

He doesn't remember any of it.

[Tsuzuki's pretty sure that means that, if he was in hell, he wasn't just in hell. Something else happened.

What, he still doesn't know, but bringing Izanami into it seems like complicating things too much... except that Vector almost certainly is there.]

--but no, okay, even if Yamato wasn't a simple, fairly trusting sword, he has no reason to think Joshua would be lying. So they're still no closer to figuring that particular mystery out. But if Joshua came back, and Yuuki's god hasn't...

It's too much. There are too many variables, too many different tales being spun and Yamato can barely keep his eyes on one thread, let alone the whole gaudy tapestry. And if Joshua's back, then he's not in hell, so the point is moot.]

but what are you going to do if you get trapped down there or die? what will happen to your shinki down there without you [Yamato fully believes that any shinki worth their salt would sacrifice themselves for their god in an instant, but things happen. Which is the entire point he's been trying to make. Things happen.]

I won't leave my shinki down there alone.

[He's not taking his shinki, but he's pretty sure if he says that, Yamato'd never stop yelling. The reassurance'll have to be enough, even if Tsuzuki can see for himself how weak it sounds.]

[That's not quite true. Yamato would stop yelling long enough to go get Shepard, so that they could yell together.

why? [A cut and dry rescue mission, that's one thing. But if Vector didn't want anyone to go after him... what if he'd never intended to come back in the first place?]

It's kind of hard to say. I've tried them against demons, though, and that works fine.

Youve used them against demons??

Yeah, the Summons Department investigates when souls don't show up for judgment on time, and you'd be surprised how often that's because of demon involvement. We get a case every couple years.

They tend to get annoyed when we tell them to back off.

[And that's where the fighting comes in.]

[But he already knows that, and if he still wants to go... There's probably not much she can do to stop him. So, she'll leave it at that.]
