Explain to me again why I must bother with this ridiculous cycle of answering these ridiculous requests only to have the very same people ask for more

Considering that all I needed to do is kill the world-devouring creature before it could eat up too much of the world, it wasn't that much of an effort.

I was talking about the rest of this place, especially the humans shoved into playing gods.

It's because their attitudes as humans are still there but with more power to enforce that on the rest of us.
