Humans are irritating
Most of you are irritating
Most of these prayers are irritating
Explain to me again why I must bother with this ridiculous cycle of answering these ridiculous requests only to have the very same people ask for more

I almost regret siding with you idiots in the first place.

ask why we were brought here?
attack those who are just cooperating with the tasks given us?
ramble about love, sex and the like?

it seems there are a lot of things that people do except when the near shore becomes infected with things that need destroying

I've been asking, but not getting a lot in the way of answers.
Trick would be asking the right people, probably, but I don't know who or where the hell they are.

Is helping out really so bad? Especially since there's not much keeping you from doing those other things the rest of the time.
I haven't been here long. Helping just seemed like the thing to do.

we haven't really gained so much answers as we have gained questions.
another reason to be annoyed that there is a lack of explanations considering just what we have to fight and how we are suppose to do it.

you can say that my role in this cycle is one of fickleness.
Fortuna isn't known for answering things exactly as they are meant to be
as for fighting, well, you can say that my existence is suppose to be one of conquering humanity.

I won't pretend it isn't frustrating. I feel like I'm treading water. Hard to tell which way is up.
I lucked out, at least, getting paired up with a god who seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

So that makes you a god, too.
I can imagine that it's probably harder being stuck here, in some ways, when you can actually remember what you've given up.

we have some reasons for some answers, but yes. most gods do try to keep things working somehow

not really. the hardest part of being here is dealing with the ridiculousness that occurs

I'm still working my way through learning the names of the gods here.
I don't remember any from home, and I haven't been here long enough for many of the names to mean anything to me.

What kind of things qualify as 'ridiculousness?'

you are aware that the names that we use on the BBS aren't really ours? the god names are more like titles and we have our own from where we came from originally

some people thinking that they can change the nature of our roles or times when people attack the older gods during celebrations.
just things people use to disrupt when they can be putting that time in trying to find real answers

Learning the names and titles, then. Either way, still new, still learning.

Do they really think they're doing themselves any favors, pulling stunts like that?

That never changes no matter what you do

In a word? Yes.

Sounds like a huge waste of time to me.

It is.
So naturally humans try doing it.
