----------

I'm curious about the other shinki here. From my understanding, we all are given unique forms or "vessels" which are used to serve our gods. These vessels can range from a variety of items, though they are primarily intended to be used as weapons or protection against Ayakashi. However, I haven't seen any lists of examples or surveys regarding what these forms may be. It's difficult to gauge what to expect without any examples to draw upon. A more comprehensive list of shinki forms and abilities would also be useful to newer gods and shinkis who may not be certain of what they're capable of, or how a more unorthodox form might be used.

If anyone is willing to share, I wouldn't mind keeping such a list up to date.

Of course, identifying details may be removed upon request. I'm more interested in knowing the variety of forms currently available and which ones are the most common type. Information from the "new" shinki would be preferred, as opposed to the "older" shinki from before the changes in the Heavens, though I'll gladly accept your information as a separate data group.

You can respond here or contact me directly, either is fine.
[And here he leaves his contact details for the latter option.]

On an unrelated note, I'd be interested to hear from anyone who's familiar with or currently a cyborg or sentient machine. I've already met a couple of you. Perhaps there are others here?

Why are you writing phonetic imitation of chickens clucking?

Besides, what part of "I'm a shinki, I don't remember anything about my life" you don't understand? Not to mention, most of the answers for the questions you ask would probably be classified.

[ crap, he got a point there. ]

Aren't shinki already dead? Is there a reason to concern oneself with such outcomes. [ he never had a self-preservation instinct in life TBH ] But I do see a point you're trying to make. I have an inclination that I could handle simpler repairs, but anything more than that, could be inconvenient.

I guess I have no other choice, but find an engineer if the need for one arises.

[ stop suddenly making so much sense. ]

Fair enough.

In theory how would such gathering of information happen? It's safe to assume that shinki while losing memory of their lives, don't lose skills related to them. I can fight and use the additional functions my body provides. Writing, reading, talking, cooking, all variety of skills is still there. I still have vague sense of how my body works, even if I don't know who made it.

[ ok now he gets idea ]

I assume it's the same for your engineering skills. You don't remember how and when you learned it, but it doesn't hinder your capability of using it.

Ever thought about teaching it?
[ he could be persuaded to volunteer as a student ]

I could consider volunteering, especially for an online course.

[ it also means no meeting in person, so no risk of... WEIRD HUGS AND CLINGINESS???? at least he hopes ]

I'm learning something new and useful, so there's clear gain for me there.

Basics and simple most likely. Let's start with tools. How to operate them, and what they're needed for. Application in normal life preferred, be it for self-repair or household maintenance.

[ since Genos is said to dislike complicated machinery in the coursebooks, he might be a terrible student ]

Online. Course.

Just so you remember.

[ that operation part is so weird. yeah internet is the way ]

Keep it online, that's what I'm saying.

If you wanted to have more audience, you could make it in form of comprehensive tutorial and just drop it into forums.

It doesn't have to be a live feed.

If it ends as one, as long as you keep it interesting I'm in no risk of falling asleep.

[ It's like talking to a brick wall. Half time Genos doesn't get where Add train of thoughts gets him. Not that he wants to know. ]

Whatever, it's up to you for decide. You know my online handle, just send me files when you're done.

[ is that how you treat a teacher? ]
