wow.
i got all my blight cleaned up and i haven't heard anybody else say they can't get into their temple, so i don't think i'm that bad thanks.

It's not about the blight. The gods we serve have often long tradition of worship in this world.
In some religions, you weren't allowed to enter a sanctum, without a specific ritual. It could be as simple as not entering with weapons, to more complicated ones. Like getting rid of all the body hair and then getting covered with golden dust.
[ His room is basically, a library, and he likes to read so... ]

that's who we're talking about here.
[If he has to shave and dust himself with gold, he quits.]

Or perhaps unlucky, since she was the goddess of beauty and love.

She's the one with sacred prostitution of her priestess.
But some researches claim bullshit on that, and call it wrong appropriation of cult of Ishtar.

The book that's in my hand also mention sacrifices, washing hands, singing hymns, and flower offerings. Lots and lots of flower offerings.
And before you ask, the sacrifice in question is of honey cakes, and seasonal fruit.
no subject
why not, i'll give it a shot.
[Handwashing seems like a pretty simple request too.
But he'll sleep on a bench the rest of his life before she gets him to sing.]

It's about a half-hour walk, it turns out. He raps his knuckles against the side of the gate when he arrives.
It looks less like a temple and more like a two-story house, he concludes, and waits to see if anyone shows up.]
Hey there! Anyone home?

Enter. [ He says a bit louder than he should and makes it down to the door. ] You're Aphrodite's shinki, right?
[ Really, only one person who could visit right now, but he wants to make sure ]
> action
[Axel cranes his neck, checking around the corner of the door. Nope, there's no one back there. It definitely did open on its own.
Magic. Whee. He turns back to the other man and offers his hand.]
Good to meet you. Thanks for the help, by the way.

Here's the book. [ he offers a massive book on Greek Mythos ] Looks like previous owner of my room was a researcher of sort.

He eyes Genos's metal-plated arms curiously.]
Is that armor or what?

[The weird thing is that it carried over. You'd think the dead would get all their limbs back in the original condition no matter what happened.]

[It's funny how many people here have fire powers. This makes three Axel knows so far. Maybe it's just a common god thing? -- And shinki, for that matter.]
