[ The video turns on showing Zero in a dark room inside his temple. A quiet look falls across his eyes as he faces the camera. He's not one to speak to people let alone about himself but after his encounter with Sheryl, he has no choice. He knows what happened even if he can't remember it. He lost control. ]

My name is Zero Kiryuu and I was here before as a shinki.

[ A pause as he squares his shoulders to face his crimes.  ]

I need to know if I killed someone.

They took my memories when I was brought back as a god but that doesn't erase my crimes. I need to know what happened. What I did.

I won't let this go.


[ OOC: He doesn't know he died, he simply assumes his loss of memories is due to the whole turning a shinki into a god deal. Some kind soul, please spring that up on him. Also, for any future in-action meet ups Zero will mysteriously have some pomegranate fruit/seeds on him at all times. If you eat them you'll be sentenced (only if you want!) to stay one night at his temple before the seeds effects let them escape! ]

Should I eat one in front of you, then, so that we may find out together? [ He held up the fruit, inspecting it. He hadn't planned on eating it yet, but... Zero's increasing desperation was making him more and more curious. ]

[ THE HELL YOU WILL!

Instantly, he's on the move, jumping into the tree chasing after him to retrieve the tainted fruit. ]

[candyconsumption]

[ He takes off, feeling Zero right behind him. He spins around to face the vampire, kicking off the ground in powerful, backwards hops. ]

You're persistent.

Is this your way of trying to protect me?

[moonlitknight]

You wanted the title.

[ He uses his supernatural strength to give him a boost as he jumps right after him, eyes locked on him as he chased after him through the trees. ]

[candyconsumption]

[ Even while not in his madness, Zero was just as fast as he remembered--no, faster. He was still new to controlling his chakra, but it was almost like training, being pushed to use it, to learn how to defend himself like Sasuke wanted. ]

Are you that scared it will hurt me?

[moonlitknight]

[ He pushes his speed. ]

I won't be the reason for your suffering again.

[ And comes up beside him. Yet, he doesn't make a move to tackle him to the floor like before he chased him through the trees taunting. Playing. ]

[candyconsumption]

[ His red eyes widen a touch at Zero catching up to him--ah, he is fast--but he doesn't move to pull away from him, just remaining on par. ]

What will you do for me if I surrender?

[moonlitknight]

Keep my word.

[ And keep him safe. ]

[candyconsumption]

Are you saying if I didn't you'd revoke your promise?

[moonlitknight]

[ He grabs his hand, stopping them mid-air. ]

No.

[candyconsumption]

[ He drops one as they come to a halt, from the hand that Zero snatched up. He's instantly stopped. He looked up at the much taller man. ]

...You caught me.

[moonlitknight]

[ He snatches the fruit before it falls too far and a black smoke rises from it before being transformed back to a seed which he tips back into his mouth disposing of it within seconds. One left. ]

The other.

[ He doesn't let go as he reaches for the remaining fruit. ]

[candyconsumption]

Why are you so tall. [ His tone is disgruntled as he tried to play keep-away, but as Zero's arm stretches out to take his, and he feels slender fingers brush against his wrist... he feels as though he should relent. He knows he could probably crack it open, and expose what's inside, and eat it, but... ]

[ He had his fun. He didn't want to keep his new knight in shining armor scrambling in the dark. ]

[ He moved his hand out of the way of Zero's. But instead of going another direction, he held it up. ]

...Here. [ Again. ] I gave it to you last time you asked.

Did you really think I would eat it?

[moonlitknight]

[ He takes it, black smoke rising between them as he tips the newly-formed seed into his mouth. Once he swallows it, his fingers relax against his wrist letting go as he wipes away invisible stains with the back of his hand. ]

I don't know what you'd do.

[ Without his memories he can only guess. ]

[candyconsumption]

[ It's so strange--large fruit in his hands, tiny seeds in Zero's. It's curious. He wants to know more. But now, now is not the time to. ]

You should learn, then, if you want to do your job right.

...Who knows what I could truly be.

[moonlitknight]

You're lonely.

[ That much he could tell. ]

It makes you unpredictable.

[candyconsumption]

You helped me in finding my current god.

The one I had before... he...

...Let us say, he did not take care of me.

[moonlitknight]

[ Okay. Now you have his attention. ]

What happened?

[candyconsumption]

You were godless, and you wandered... shinki need gods to protect them just as much as gods need shinki for ayakashi. Or else...

They meet the same fate as you did.

I started to wander... and I felt lost... but you were there.

You gave me enough strength to find another god who would look after me.

[moonlitknight]

[ He... remembered being godless. That feeling of abandonment was the only thing from his time as a shinki that they had let him keep. But for him to help another wandering soul.... ]

You had that strength in you all along.

[ Whatever he said or did, didn't change that. At best, he'd given him a push in the right direction, nothing more. ]

[candyconsumption]

I don't know. [ He looked up at him. ]

You called me a coward.

[ That sounds like something he'd say. But then, he'd only say it if: ]

[ Nope. Not apologizing for that one. ]

[candyconsumption]

[ You ass-- ]

Are you saying that if a shinki is nervous about sticking up for themselves in the presence of their god, the one that possesses them, it makes them a coward?

You're a god now.

If you wanted to, you could do whatever you wanted with me, and I wouldn't be able to stop you.

You may have been brave enough to wander around godless, but in the end it certainly bit you in the ass, didn't it, just as you ran around biting as many people as you could get your hands on.

So does it?

Am I still a coward to you?

[ Oh, he's been taunted by better demons than you, Itachi. That little stab won't get a reaction out of him. ]

You stopped being a coward the moment you chose your own god.
