[ The video turns on showing Zero in a dark room inside his temple. A quiet look falls across his eyes as he faces the camera. He's not one to speak to people let alone about himself but after his encounter with Sheryl, he has no choice. He knows what happened even if he can't remember it. He lost control. ]

My name is Zero Kiryuu and I was here before as a shinki.

[ A pause as he squares his shoulders to face his crimes. ]

I need to know if I killed someone.

They took my memories when I was brought back as a god but that doesn't erase my crimes. I need to know what happened. What I did.

I won't let this go.

[ OOC: He doesn't know he died, he simply assumes his loss of memories is due to the whole turning a shinki into a god deal. Some kind soul, please spring that up on him. Also, for any future in-action meet ups Zero will mysteriously have some pomegranate fruit/seeds on him at all times. If you eat them you'll be sentenced (only if you want!) to stay one night at his temple before the seeds effects let them escape! ]

[ He nods in agreement. ]

And it's something many others here have, too. So then... why do you have to be alone in this duty?

The number of people who responded is reason enough.'

[ He had lot control once. He wouldn't let it happen again. ]

[ She shakes her head. ] You feel guilty for what you've done but can't remember. But shutting yourself away from those here isn't the right way to make up for it.

I'm not trying to make up for it.

I'm stopping it from happening again.

[ His eyes fix on her. ]

You weren't the only one who offered your blood freely. If I hadn't gotten close to people, you wouldn't have let that [ his voice rises ] thing take anything from you.

But-- [ Well, he has a point. ] I couldn't just let you attack others. [ She eventually says, a pained look on her face. ] Would you rather I just have tried to rend you right then and there?

Yes.

[ ...Ah. ] And... I suppose if it were to happen again, you would want me to do the same thing.

[ It's hard for her to swallow. ] But... if this is truly your wish, then I promise I will do so without hesitating.

... Sanea.

[ His voice turns soft. ]

I won't put that burden on you again.

You've done enough already.

[ The more this conversation goes on, the more she gets the feeling he truly does not want her anywhere near him. Maybe this is a sort of poetic justice, for not being able to do more. She had wanted another chance to help him-- and this time, with working together with others-- but it seems she won't be granted that. ] It... hurts.

[ She says, and she brings a hand over her heart. ] It hurts right here, when I cannot help a friend. [ More specifically, when a friend won't let her help them. ]

Is this goodbye, Zero?

[ He watches that hand close over where her heart should have been and Zero wants nothing more than to console her, hug her, anything to remove the pain out of her eyes, her voice. He looks up, trying to will himself to keep to his promise. It was better for her this way. She didn't need someone like him in her life. Some monster she had no reason to endure. ]

[ So, he endured in her stead. ]

I know... But I've already hurt you enough. I won't keep doing it.

I won't put the burden of killing me on your shoulders again. Not when I can see the pain it's caused you.

It would be more painful to never see a friend again, Zero. [ She says quietly, her voice tinged with that hurt. ]

But if you don't want that, then... I can only hope you'll be safe and happy in the future.

[ There's silence for a long time as his eyes settle on her, watching her quietly. ]

I regret not remembering you.

Good-bye, Sanae Kochiya. Goddess of Miracles.

[ She nods to him once, because suddenly her chest feels tight and the air is caught in her throat. It's all she can bear to give him one last time before shuts off her phone. Immediately after, she lays back in her seat. Finally she lets her emotions come forth, the regret and sorrow and pain mixing with exhaustion. Sanae is quick to dub others her friends, and while some may call it superficial, she pours her heart into each and every friendship no matter how little she may no someone. She realizes now that that just makes it more difficult when friends part, as this is the first time one has ended for her.

--No. Not ended. She will remain a "friend" to him in the barest sense of the word, and will be there if he ever does need her help. But other than that, she knows she must keep away from him... and by extension, the other one who looks exactly like him. Out of respect, she can do that for him since he's told her to leave him alone.

But.

There is one last thing he will receive from her, a parting gift of sorts. At the entrance to his temple there will be a package, with a glass vial placed within it. The vial is seemingly empty, clear and rounded. Attached to it will be a short letter from Sanae: ]

Dear Zero,

Please take this bottle as a gift from me to you.

It contains one miracle.

It's for you, and you can use it any time you want. Out of the miracles I've tried, the only thing that doesn't work is using it to go home. Besides that, please use it for whatever you wish for.

Sanae

[ And she hopes, she prays that he will be alright in the future. Even if he dismissed her, she's certain there are many more that care for him here. She hopes they'll do a better job at helping him than she ever could. ]
