[ The video turns on showing Zero in a dark room inside his temple. A quiet look falls across his eyes as he faces the camera. He's not one to speak to people let alone about himself but after his encounter with Sheryl, he has no choice. He knows what happened even if he can't remember it. He lost control. ]

My name is Zero Kiryuu and I was here before as a shinki.

[ A pause as he squares his shoulders to face his crimes. ]

I need to know if I killed someone.

They took my memories when I was brought back as a god but that doesn't erase my crimes. I need to know what happened. What I did.

I won't let this go.

[ OOC: He doesn't know he died, he simply assumes his loss of memories is due to the whole turning a shinki into a god deal. Some kind soul, please spring that up on him. Also, for any future in-action meet ups Zero will mysteriously have some pomegranate fruit/seeds on him at all times. If you eat them you'll be sentenced (only if you want!) to stay one night at his temple before the seeds effects let them escape! ]

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

[ With the location in hand, Zero heads over it without question. Of course, he knows he's most likely to be attacked but it doesn't matter. He needs to know what happened. What he wasn't remembering. If he truly turned into a Level E then things could not go on as they were. ]

[Unfortunately for Zero, Izumo isn't interested in talking. Yet.

Right now, he's more focused on at least getting a punch in or two.

He's already at their meeting spot, but as soon as he notices Zero--

Well, be prepared for some streaks of fire heading your way, Zero.]

[ He seems them coming but he doesn't move, lets them hit him straight on. It burns,of course, and he grits his teeth against the pain, his hand coming up to the burning flesh but he endures. It's not the worst hit he's taken, but it's not small either, the pain more pronounced than if he'd been stabbed. He draws breath slowly, his healing already working to repair the damage. But he doesn't move against him, doesn't say anything against it. Merely endures it. ]

[Other than the initial attack, Izumo doesn't move to hit him again.

He remains at a distance though, warily watching Zero. He seemed to be sound of mind, but he could never be too careful lest he wanted blood drain out of him again.

Kensei's healing cooking can only do so much, after all.

Izumo watches as he heals, though, before he plasters on a smile.]

Is the healing factor of your own doing or your power as a god?

[ He swallows thickly past the pain but it's healing, the nerve endings come first easing the pain with every second. ]

Neither. [ A small breath. ] The vampire side.

[There's a brief flare of a red aura surrounding Izumo before it's gone.

Izumo breathes out, suddenly wishing he has a cigarette.]

So there are two sides of you then? [A beat later] Will you end up attacking people again like you did before?

[ His breathing smooths out into even breaths as he gets control of the pain, thinking past it. ]

I'm a vampire hunter. [ He looks at him, resolve behind the even eyes. ] It's our duty to protect humans from vampires, no matter who they are.

[Izumo meets his gaze, seeing that resolve but it does nothing.

However, the corners of his lips turns upwards, almost amused.]

Isn't it ironic for a vampire to be a vampire hunter? [The irony is almost laughable, but Izumo doesn't laugh.

Zero's done too much damage even if he wasn't in his right mind.] But that doesn't matter here and what defines you now.

[ A look. ]

I was a Hunter first.

[ He would always be a Hunter first. ]

You're wrong.

It matters.

[This time, a smile does appear, but it's not happy.

It's almost bittersweet, almost mocking.

Having memories must suck if this is what happens to Zero, but he's not sure if it's a positive from the negative.]

And from what you've said, Hunters protect people, right? Where was this mindset when you became a bloodthirsty monster?

[There is a reason why he's doing this to you, Zero.]

......

[ Low blow. ]

I... don't know.

[Izumo watches him for a moment, wondering briefly if he should antagonize the new god any more.

Zero looks almost broken in a way, and it only takes a blind man not to realize how much regret is practically pouring off of the man in waves.

He almost feels sorry, but at the same time, he isn't.]

Then don't claim to be a Hunter until you can properly protect people. [A pause, and then:] I'm sure there's a reason why you've been given a second chance, being brought back as a god, so don't waste it.

[He won't hesitate to burn you again.]

[ How is he supposed to defend himself from that? The answer - he can't. So he doesn't. Instead he accepts the rebuke. ]

I don't plan too.

[ That's all he can really say when he can't remember what happened to make him fall so low. But he was right, they had made him a god and Zero would do everything in his power to guard the humans he was charged to protect. ]

[ He turns around then, ready to head out when a small pomegranate seemingly falls out of nowhere on the ground, breaking in half on the forest floor and spilling some seeds on the ground. ]

[The pomegranate is surprising, and it only adds to the suspicion unfortunately.

Even so-]

I believe you've dropped something.

[ The sound has him turning around and when his eyes land on the small fruit they narrow in suspicion, and his hand is going inside his jacket to retrieve a silver case. He slides the top open with his thumb and starts counting the pomegranate seeds inside only then realizing he's one short. His eyes flick back to the fruit on the ground and glaring at it before swiftly moving to pick up the fruit. ]

[Huh.

Now, that's interesting.

His mind races around as he remembers which myth exactly Zero would reign from, but then there's another matter he figures he should point out.]

Ah, right, there is another thing I feel like I should tell you.

[ Red stains his hands as he picks up the broken fruit. He concentrates then, his focus on the fruit at hand and a black smoke suddenly engulfs it before being swept away by the wind leaving a single pomegranate seed behind. He takes that seed, tips his head back and swallows it. It disappears into his mouth sating his bloodlust the same way the blood tablets had curbed it, except it wasn't bloodtablets his Temple gave him to curb his bloodlust but pomegranates. ]

[ He turns to face him then, his shoulders no longer so tense. ]

What is it?

[That. That was interesting.

It makes Izumo curious, wondering if the seeds helped the other man in some way considering how Zero is no longer tense.

But then he's facing him and while Izumo knows he shouldn't, at the very least, he feels like he needs to inform Zero about something.]

There is another young man here named Ichiru who looks like you.

......

[ The pomegranate seeds eases the tension from his shoulders but it also leaves him vulnerable to the unexpected and its at the news of his brother that a heavy look filled with a quiet sadness fills his face unable to hide it from the world. ]

I... know.

[The sadness was unexpected, and for once, there is a pang of sympathy.

However, it's gone as quickly as it came because Izumo knows just from that look alone, Zero has some sort of connection to Ichiru.

Twins, then?]

I'm not sure what your relationship is with him, but I'd figured I'd let you know, anyway.

He's my younger brother. But, I can't tell him.

[ He looks at him guessing he already knew their connection. It was fairly obvious with the identical face but Ichiru still didn't know and Zero would keep it that way. ]
