Were you trying to train on your own without your god? It's not a bad idea but you've really got to be more careful. Getting blighted will affect him too.

(By the way, people who say that you should get rid of blight by cutting it off should try that on themselves before telling other people to do it.
Which is to say, don't listen to them.)
