Looks like Christmas came early fer me! [He will be wearing said present with pride - and also a general helping of unease! ~~That's normal for all presents, right?~~] Fits too. I don't feel it slippin' around when I do what I want. I might even be able ta battle with it!

Shun? Ey, Shun? Did ye have something to do with this?

[Despite the distinct lack of actual explanation, it's not difficult for Shun to figure out what he's getting at with that description. But he's just as surprised as Joker on that one.]

I hadn't heard anything about that since I asked not long after you came. At least, if you're talking about what I think you are, since you never actually said.

Yeah, ye know what it is. A hand. I found it waitin' in a storeroom I was clearing out. [Maybe it belonged to someone else; maybe not. Their environment is an odd one and Joker just feels blessed...and terrified.]

That's basically how I found that dagger I use, so I suppose it's not much of a stretch to find something like that. I don't know enough about fitting prosthetics to know how lucky it might be that it fits, but as long as it works for you and you're comfortable with it I don't see the problem.

The storerooms are strange, I tell thee. I swear they change their inventory when they feel like it!

An' it fits great. I can use it and that's what matters. [There was a lot more wrong with the broken one than they both realize.] I might be needin' more daggers.

I wouldn't be surprised, with the kinds of things we found while we were cleaning up the other temples around here.

I'll see what I can find. If I found one dagger in here, there might be more of them, even if they'll probably need sharpening. It looks like they're supposed to be ceremonial, but they still work.

Sharpen 'em up and they should work the same. I know how ta keep blades in top condition. [He sharpens the daggers he came with when they need it.] This means I can help ye more before ye need my shinki form.

That's to be expected, with how many you have. And you were already capable, but with more enemies than just ayakashi appearing, it seems like this was good timing.

Then I'll look at it as a true blessing! I've gotta be careful 'round the vultures, though. I noticed that little one I've been carin' for seems ta want to pluck the arm right off of me.

I think she wants ta play with it an' she knows it don't hurt me none.

Playing rough isn't much of a surprise for prey birds. It's more of one that the other god who kept a few that flew to her temple hasn't lost any fingers yet.

True. I try to be careful around 'em and the little one is the only one I hand feed. But if ye see her with my hand, ask her to give it back, aye?

In the unlikely event she manages to get it off you, and that asking for it actually works.

She would obey her god. I think she'd listen to me too. Ye should spend time with her.

You know my attitude on obedience like that. And I figured you wanted to keep her closer to you with how the others can be.

I didn't mean that kind of obedience. More like a Master and a pet.

That's true, but that don't mean you can't play with her. She's got a lot of energy!

I doubt "playing" is the right word for what I do with any of the vultures. I feed them, I sometimes check on them more closely, but that's about it.
