I've been wondering, is there any kind of stigma against a god and shinki flirting, or even dating? Not just any god and shinki, but like... a partnered pair. Or is that too weird, is it like getting hit on by your boss or something?
The whole 'god and weapon' relationship is still strange for me, and I'm trying to wrap my head around it, but I might be holding a torch for my partner. I'd just like to know if it's something I should pursue, or if I should attempt to put it down.
[He thinks that's probably enough for the question, mostly since he doesn't want to be found out, nor does he want to accidentally say something about their past and mess up everything.]

When he noticed he was being followed, he spun around, surprisingly gracefully for only getting access to this form a week or so ago.]
Clever boy. Not correct, but clever nonetheless. [He wasn't going to run right now, though. Let him draw his weapons again if he wished it. Dio was more than prepared to continue the fight if he had to. Or run, really. It wasn't as if finding out he stopped time would allow him to move in the stopped time.]
And it isn't cheating. It's one of my abilities. Why should I handicap myself?

[If one knew Hibari well, they would almost say that he was sulking at such an unfair move against him. However to most, he just looked angry as normal. For him, a real fight was one where the opponent didn't use cheap tactics to run away.
But that was just his opinion.
And now his opponent...was a cat? A talking cat? And a very cute one.
This was the most frustrating part. As much as he convinced himself that this cat was his enemy, he couldn't attack it, not while it looked so harmless. Hibari believed himself as being someone with a healthy respect of nature and frown on any who didn't give him and it the proper respect.
And because of that, now all he really wanted to do was pet the Dio cat. He didn't put the tonfa away, but he looked like much less on the warpath then before.]
Enough small talk.

[And Dio the cat was alright with looking cute. He was going to keep an eye on the guy, but he wasn't changing into anything else to continue fighting him.]
It's not my fault if you are bound by it. You are fighting a God, remember that. [And if Dio's research was correct, a rather important god at that. Not that he didn't think of himself as a god before all of this, but having someone give him the title on their own certainly helped to legitimize it.
A shame he didn't have his personal Heaven yet, but all things in due time.
And now he was just going to lie down and roll over in as cute of a manner as he could muster. After all, even if he was very cute right now, he had nothing to worry about. He could still shoot lasers from his eyes, stop time, and summon The World if he needed to.]

[He was more than a little disillusioned, not only by the force of his leftover personality, but by the environment here. Gods here did very ungodly things and were far weaker than a holy person would be thought of to be.
But when the cat rolled over, Hibari's hand twitched. Not because of the tonfa, but because the soft fluffy belly looked very inviting. He'd have to be strong; there was no way he was petting an enemy. His hand twitched again.]

I was a God before this. And I'll continue to be after this world is gone.
[Who ever said all gods were good? Silly Hibari. Dio was fully aware of his position as a less-than-good god.]
And honestly, it's funny how you think someone not believing in something makes it not real. After all, most people don't believe in vampires or zombies. [Silly fools. He wondered for a moment how people here would handle a zombie outbreak. Could be fun.]

[And that was one thing he wouldn't allow. No god would lay claim over his life and his beliefs; they were things he held alone. And he knew perfectly well the world held less than savory gods, as he'd met very many of them.]
Think of yourself a god all you want, it changes nothing for me.
[Except he was gonna....reach out and scratch at the kitty's stomach.......]

No, I am not your god, and I've no interest in claiming power over those who do not give it willingly. [For now, anyway. He did still have his flesh buds, after all, he'd just learned a little bit about morality. Only a little, though.]
That wasn't what I was getting at, anyway. [He was just warning him that gods could break time and space a little. Mostly time, for Dio. Unless all of this garbage had come from also breaking space as an unfortunate side-effect.]

Then make your point. I have no time for your ridiculous attempts at mind games.

And despite what people may tell you, not believing in me doesn't stop that.

[It was actually something Hibari had been mulling over a lot in his head lately; he felt as if it were an important question even before he lost his memories. The cat's fur was still just as soft and he buried his hand into it, even if the expreession never lost its sourness.]
Therefore, the only thing that sets apart a god from a human is if someone believes you are a god. I do not, and therefore you are no god to me.

I see your point, though I don't agree with it. [He didn't have any further argument that would convince him, though, so he wouldn't attempt it. Dio was happy to reach a point of agreeing to disagree once his argument ran out of points.]
The fact remains that it's not cheating to use your powers though. If one is allowed, they all should be, right? Just handicapping me doesn't prove your strength, after all. I was defeated twice by mere humans, and one of them was even without powers, so it isn't as if it cannot be done.
