I guess this is the best way to ask -- has anyone else noticed some of the shinki act a lot more reserved than others? Not like a quiet person. That's not a bad thing. Like it's hard to talk to them about themselves and they don't remember a name other than the one their god gave them?

Ah, if it matters, I'm a god. I'm just trying to figure out how I can best help my shinki. He's my responsibility after all.

I had one like that before. There isn't a hell of a lot you can do about it - there doesn't seem to be anything to them to talk about. They're like empty vessels.

Looking out for them is fine, but don't expect it to change anything in this case.

I wasn't trying to placate you so much as warn you. Since you obviously care for their wellbeing, beyond that it's not really my concern how you choose to handle this.

It does look like a few more people have had shinki like that than I knew. Most people don't seem to know what I'm talking about when I bring it up.

I did. I released it when I got another shinki, because I knew I was never going to be comfortable with a shinki that willing to bow to orders from me.

Two other people I know at least had one before, but those were the only other two I'd heard about.

As far as I know, they're freed from service until they find another god to take them in and name them. Or at least, that's how it seems to go with the newer shinki who lose their gods or are released.

It's possible they've found another god. If the ones like yours and my old one are inclined to serve, I don't see what would stop them offering themselves to a new god that might need their services.

But they might be wandering, too. Nobody really knows unless we see them.

They always have white robes, a bit like Amaterasu's shinki she sends out sometimes. I think they're all supposed to look a bit unassuming - mine was a young woman with long black hair, about average in height and weight. Though it's not hard to look unassuming compared to a lot of the people here.

If you're that concerned about it, it's not information that needs hiding.

Seeing them is less likely than you think.

That's true, but I haven't seen her since I released her. I don't think any of the others who've released theirs have seen them since. These kinds of shinki don't seem to linger around the newer gods.

Any of us here can die, second time or not. That much has already been proven by things that have happened here.
