Kija is gone. I can tell that he's not here.
Really, has no one found out the reason behind disappearances like this? If anyone knows what's happened to him or has hurt him in some way, you'd better come forward now before I discover this later. I won't have any mercy towards someone like that.
Who can tell me anything about this? Anyone?

[Which... is flattering, maybe, but also a bit much. He's not sure it would actually cheer him up.] I wouldn't want to hurt her feelings, but I wonder if rescheduling would help avoid that...

Don't do anythin' ya don't wanna do. [SHRUG... this is simple, Jae-Ha.] If ya don't feel like gettin' sung at, don't go today.
no subject
I'd rather enjoy your breakfast, play us some music and spend time with you. Perhaps we could work on our languages.
no subject
I don't see why not. It'll be a nice, quiet day without any more unpleasant surprises.
[He nods at his breakfast like that will definitely confirm that no one else will mess anything up today, and reaches out to offer Jae-Ha his hand across the table. Eat cutely with him, let's go.]
no subject
Thank you, dear. [Usually when that word slips out it's just politeness, but in this case, there's a warm fondness to it that's a lot more intimate. Of course. He's speaking to Hazel. And now he's nibbling on some bacon, too. It's better to focus on this than it is to deal with the fact that Schuldig told him a bit more about how he can manipulate his emotions...]
It's impossible to feel unpleasant while you're in the room.
no subject
But he doesn't, so he'll content himself with holding Jae-Ha's hand and eating breakfast with the other. Call him cute things like dear more often...]
I've got that way about me, I know.
no subject
You do. [He's cute when he's like this, somehow. So Jae-Ha enjoys some more of his breakfast and never lets go of his hand as he does. Rather than focusing for too long on all of the details he hasn't mentioned, he'll think ahead to music time. That's a fair idea.]
no subject
Then, it will be time for gay music...]
no subject
Once they get there, he lets his hand slip away only once he's sat down on the couch, his erhu in one hand as he pats the seat next to him with the other.]
Sit as close as you can.
no subject
Of course, he's happy to oblige and scoot close to Jae-Ha, but helpfully not too close to interrupt his fat violin playing.]
I'm ready for the big show.
no subject
[You know, in between all of the gay. He sets the instrument up in his lap and smiles to Hazel as he readies himself.] It's a song for you, so listen well.
[He wrote Hazel a gay song?? He did. In his head, since it's all memory and he doesn't know how to physically write music, but he knows it by heart. So, here is his gay song, not nearly as melancholy as the other songs he's played, but still with a hint of it. He's dead, there always has to be some sort of melancholy.
But for the most part, it's just purely beautiful.]
no subject
Anyway, he's really touched, if it weren't already obvious. He knows nothing about music but he knows it's a good song, and Jae-Ha plays well, and this is a whole gay song just for him, so of course it gets him right in the heart. What a sweetie, ugh.
He can't hold his hand, so he settles for putting his hand on Jae-Ha's leg at some point in the middle of this gay song. How sweet... what the hell......]

[He says that back warmly as he starts playing the music. It felt easy to compose when he was just playing melodies that felt right. Solo music was easy in that way. He could make things sound the way he felt, and he didn't have to worry about coordinating with other instruments or key signatures or anything like that. It was just feeling and expression, and that makes for a very nice song, in the end, with someone like Jae-Ha who has a love for music.
He makes the notes sing with extra vibrato, eyes closing as he plays and feels the rest of this song. He's very into it, you see.
It finishes on a long drawn out note that fades into the air, and his arm stays up for a moment after the silence of the end before he drops the bow to his lap. His other hand holds the instrument close as he smiles to Hazel.]
What did you think?
no subject
The moment he's done playing, Hazel leans over to kiss him on the cheek and then linger there, just to appreciate being close to him. How can somebody be this sweet!!]
I think I'm fallin' for ya all over again. That was really somethin'.
no subject
Not really, it was a beautiful song from his heart. He's just as happy to hear that Hazel liked it as Hazel is to have heard it. He smiles, leaning the instrument away so he can turn his head and kiss Hazel's lips next. It's short and sweet.]
Words don't really capture what I feel. I thought that I might be able to share how I felt through music, instead.
[So all of those rises and falls in melody, the long drawn out notes crossed with the faster paced rhythms... Yes. He thought about this for a while.]
no subject
He still knows pretty much nothing about music, but he can at least recognize that that song means more than the sorts of things Jae-Ha plays on the piano when Hazel's trying to "play" alongside him. So, he's even sweeter, ugh...]
I got the picture, don't worry. Maybe we can make a recordin' someday. [When he learns... how to do that on his phone... They're so old.]
no subject
Until then, why don't I play it for you again? [He wants to play it again, and he'll be playing it more often than any of the other songs he's been playing in his spare time. So. Why not?] To commit it to memory.
no subject
Sure. [He presses a quick kiss to his cheek again before sitting back, facing sideways this time so he can watch him play more comfortably.] Let's hear it again, from the top.
[He'll be Listening!!]

Music is a great tool. He plays again, focusing only on his warm feelings and love for Hazel to express this. There's no worrying about Loki and the tiny bruises that will heal in no time, and there's no worry about the future. He hopes Hazel can find a sort of comfort in this song, as well!!]
