Kija is gone. I can tell that he's not here.

Really, has no one found out the reason behind disappearances like this? If anyone knows what's happened to him or has hurt him in some way, you'd better come forward now before I discover this later. I won't have any mercy towards someone like that.

Who can tell me anything about this? Anyone?

There's no need to look for him. I know that he's gone.

What I'd like are answers as to why this happens to some shinki and gods.

How can you be so sure? There are a thousand ways to make a person disappear without a trace.

[He doesn't care about Kija but now he's abundantly curious too.]

I could always sense his presence. That's all you need to know. He's gone.

My point was that you're saying they don't have some list of names on a scroll they read off every second sunday of the month or some bullshit. I know about sensing people's presence.

[Or have you forgotten already? That's the implication.]

So you say you feel that he's gone, then I get it. He's gone. I still say there's a difference between 'disappeared off the map' and 'dead' and 'vanished' and all those other crazy euphemisms. Personally, I'd be looking for any enemies he made. Vendettas and grudges can stick in people's craw forever, you know.

Kija isn't the type to make enemies. If he had a problem with anyone, it would come out at once. He vanished just like our last god did. It's a pattern.

See, now we're getting somewhere. Who was your last god?

[All at once he's defensive, probably because he knows Schuldig can just show up and he has no way of knowing when he does or how. He's so devoted to Yona, it feels like a crime to just spill details about her to anyone who asks.]

[It's true, he can just yank it out of the man if he wants, but right now it's more appealing to see if he can squeeze it out the hard way.]

Knowing who our first god was shouldn't matter in finding out how people can vanish.

You can hunt and peck for answers or you can look for a pattern. This Kija is point #1 and your first god could be point #2, unless you'd like to mention some other people who have vanished. Otherwise this is a waste of my time.

[Ugh... What if his abilities are actually useful in finding an answer?? Knowing that is probably the kicker here. There's a very long pause, but eventually he answers.]

Her name was Yona. She was a young girl who took the place of Eos, and I believe she must have known both Kija and I in our lives, but I can't know for certain. I have been trying not to find out. Her temple was destroyed when she vanished, and I woke in another while Kija woke on the streets.

That's all that's relevant. I don't suppose you can find any reason or connections from that?

Aside from the obvious? Not right away, *but* that's a nice chunk for me and mine to start looking into. You'll be hearing from me again.

Wait. The last time, you appeared suddenly in my mind... I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't do that again. Somehow, it was only unsettling after the fact. I'm still not sure what you were doing.

Sometimes there's a reason for that - an urgency. I can't guarantee that won't happen again, especially mid brawl. We'll have to see.

Mid brawl for what? What sort of urgency? It's incredibly alarming to just show up in someone's mind, you know.

Usually to dodge an attack or timing an attack. That sort of urgency. *Maybe* since you finally came clean on that information I could be bothered to tap your shoulder or something before I say hello.

I can't tell who you mean would be dodging attacks. So maybe is the most I can get?
