I have a sneaking suspicion I could find the answer to this by going through the archives, but let's give me the benefit of the doubt and say I want to be as accurate as possible and allow for new people's responses, or else opinions evolving over time... any shinki out there who wish they were gods? Or the reverse, gods who wish they were shinki? Why do you think you got the better and/or worse deal?

Devil's advocates welcome; I may indulge in it a bit myself.

I've gotten that one before. It seems to be a very specific mental skill set, being a shinki.

I just don't like the idea of being someone else's weapon. Then again, I don't care much for using other people as weapons, either. What's the point of being a god if you have to continually rely on someone else?

And some people shouldn't have another's life in their hands, whether or not that life previously ended being moot. I'm one of them. Someone asked me once, if I'd make the sort of decisions for them that they want us to make for our shinki, and I said hell no.

I could also say, what's the point of being a god if you only exist because people remember you?

I'm probably another one of those people, and to be honest, I wouldn't mind seeing the criteria they based their decisions on. If I can be made a god after everything I've done, there has to be some sort of flaw in all of this.

There is no point. Every one of us who doesn't belong here is nothing more than a liar, deceiving the people that follow along behind us, claiming to "remember". The only thing we can do is play along and keep pushing that lie until something changes.
