Posted: May 2 From: Hedone I have a sneaking suspicion I could find the answer to this by going through the archives, but let's give me the benefit of the doubt and say I want to be as accurate as possible and allow for new people's responses, or else opinions evolving over time... any shinki out there who wish they were gods? Or the reverse, gods who wish they were shinki? Why do you think you got the better and/or worse deal? Devil's advocates welcome; I may indulge in it a bit myself.

I'm okay with being a shinki...? Um. I'm a little sad I died this young, but I don't like thinking about that much.

On the devil's advocate track, I might suggest a wrestler would. But it clearly didn't work.

He turned me into my shinki form and then threw me! Who does that?!

He asked me to punch him, so I did. But it felt really weird. I don't think I punched a lot of people.

Aah, it's not revenge if he asks you to do it-- but it doesn't sound like you want revenge, anyway. Do you just want him to earn your forgiveness, somehow?

For the record, there's nothing shameful about not punching a lot of people. Either you're very magnanimous or we didn't know the same people.

I just want him to say sorry! It's not that hard, right?

For some people, it's extremely difficult. If you have to say sorry, it means you were wrong, and no one likes being wrong. It's... almost an insult, sometimes.

You'd have to work verrrry closely together, if you're not dating him. Sometimes just being the object of his affection will work, but... If he wants to be worthy of your own intelligence and your equal, he'll improve on his own.

But he has to care about making the change. That's the tricky part.

Eeh... I don't want him to have a crush on me either. We're supposed to be partners? Or at least working together?

Hm... I don't think I can make him care...

Well, I suppose you could just bring it up with him directly. Ask him why he's not acting the way you want.

If there's a reason, you could try to fix that.
