- Recently, there was some talk about doing study groups for those of us that wanted to either fill the missing void of school, since we can't attend or don't feel comfortable attending for whatever reason, or who wanted to learn more from others who might be willing to share their knowledge. It can also supplement school, if you're one of the people that's decided to continue attending while we're here.
I know there's also some people who might not be accustomed to Japanese culture and language, and, judging by the posts regarding people learning about technology, might not know a lot about the current tech used here.
Personally, I'd like to learn more in general, and would be willing to share what I know with others. [ It'd also be a distraction, since his shinki appears to have disappeared? ]
So consider this a survey on how much interest there might be in this kind of thing. And it doesn't matter if you just want to learn, or if you're just interested in sharing something you know with others. If you want to participate, let me know, and we'll see if we can't put something together.

I can help with Japanese culture and language. If anybody wants to learn close quarter combat I can teach that too.
no subject
I'd actually be interested in learning more combat techniques. My friend back home was a martial artist, and we'd practice together. Since she's not here, I haven't been keeping up with it.

I did part-time work as a tutor back home, so I'd be happy to help anybody make up for what they might have missed out on.

He'll make you write papers and do a speech about it and lots of other stuff! I bet you'd be good at it if you like that sort of thing. Maybe you can give each other homework too.

[ But Souji can't help it - he laughs a little. ] I take it you don't like that sort of thing though?

Mr. Souji? [Look she knows she doesn't have to be that polite, but they only talked that one time so...!] I'd be interested, if it's alright. I'm afraid i don't have much I could share, being a shinki, but... It'd be nice to learn some things. Unless I suppose people want to learn how to sew.
[She looks sheepish. And it'd be nice to talk to people that aren't Judar] I've managed to learn how to use these phones, but that's about all.

Hello again, Jennifer. [ He won't correct her - if that makes her comfortable, they can work on that. ] Gods and shinki alike would be welcome, and I personally would be happy to learn how to sew. One of my friends back home was teaching me, but I'm afraid we didn't get very far in the lessons before I had to leave.
The phones are pretty basic, thankfully. But it's easy to work up from that.

Would you be interested in teaching it again?

I have backgrounds in survival skills, military combat, and magic.
As for what you can teach, I'll take you up on Japanese culture and language.
[It'd be nice to know what those weird symbols are supposed to read, or why people keep bowing and being super polite.]
no subject
It's interesting that so many people are being brought here that need a little help with the culture and language. But I'm happy to help.
[ Heaven maybe should have thought about what it was doing with these recruits... ]

Back home, I was in my final year of schooling at the top of my class. I'd be more than happy to tutor anyone in need of help. I've already drafted up a month's worth of Japanese language worksheets for someone else so it'd be no trouble.
I could teach anyone music, too. I'm well-versed in pretty much every area of that. The other arts, too.
If I can, I'd like to do as much as possible.
no subject
I think it would be incredibly helpful to have those worksheets, if you'd be willing to share copies with everyone else that might need them. That seems to be the major problem people unaccustomed to Japan are having, which is concerning, given how many people are brought in with each new arrival.
Whatever you're willing and able to do, I'm more than certain there are people who would want to learn. Especially with such a broad range of subjects and skills you have in your arsenal.
no subject
Though culture would probably be lost on me, even though I spent some time working in the culture industry, I had too many handlers to actually learn much more than the technical aspects.
no subject
That's still pretty impressive - especially given Cambridge's standing.
I think so long as you have a good understanding of the technical aspects it should be fine? Though if you ever have questions about anything, there are numerous people here that would be able to help.

We held classes at my former goddess's temple for a while, but I'm afraid after her disappearance, I've just been doing some math and kanji tutoring for current students.
If anyone would be interested in joining me for that, I'm generally free in the afternoons.
no subject
Math and kanji are good to cover - everyone needs a bit of both, and it seems a lot of people need the kanji. More than I expected.
But I'll make sure to include that in the followup for this post.

I'll join your tutoring when I can. And maybe some of the classes it looks like people want to teach.
My level is second year of Junior High. I'm already getting tutored by Kazuma-san, Hakkai-san, as well as someone else, but I'd like to try learning from a lot of different people.
no subject
I'll make sure to compile a list of all the classes that people are interested in teaching, so that you can get an idea of what might be offered. It's definitely good of you to want to learn from so many people, and I'm glad that I can help with that.

[She's so confused.]
Um, I taught lancers back home, so I reckon I can teach folks how to use polearms, and farming and animal stuff too. If folks wanna learn, that is. And ya said it was okay if folks ain't been to school but wanna learn stuff too, right?
Um, I'm Nephenee, by the way.
[Might have helped to say that at the beginning, Nephie.]
no subject
There's a few people in your shoes, don't worry. And, thankfully, there's plenty of us here that are happy to help with that. Regardless of whether someone's been to school or not, yes.
Considering the different forms that shinki can take, there's definitely no harm in learning how to use polearms. And who knows what kind of god someone might be, here, so being able to go to someone for help with farming and animals is definitely going to make things easier for some of us.
I'm Souji. Nice to meet you, Nephenee.
