[Remember the last time Leo made a voice post, how detached he sounded?

Yeah, not so much this time. Leo is not happy right now, and his arm still hurts a little from the fighting which means it's a voice post.]

Does anyone know what caused the ayakashi attack and how we're going to keep that from happening again?

Ayakashi don't seem uncommon here. With how often they attack, it seems like a natural occurrence more than anything. I'm not sure you could get rid of them entirely, unless you could get rid of negative emotion.

This latest one felt different than the others, though.

It wasn't a normal ayakashi, I believe. At least not like the ones we've fought previously.

It feels like it. I'm not sure if it's just because of how powerful it was compared to others but there was something twisted about it.

It even looked like it had human-like flesh. I don't think I've seen any other ayakashi with that.

It was mostly if not entirely black by the time I got close enough to see it, but I'll take your word for it. I wish I knew what had happened.

I'm just, wondering then...

If that means that ayakashi might've used to look more human at some point, then? Though I'm not sure how much ayakashi can change their shape.
