And another thing, while I've got the floor, more or less: the markings that turn up on shinki, what's the meaning of that? Don't lecture me on the basics, my skull ain't that thick, but is there a particular reason they turn up in the places they do? Something to do with the name you give, maybe?

Y'know I didn't even think of adding the form to the mix. So you truly think it's all just happening by chance?

I'm not boring, if that's what you're implying. After some thought, I can't think of anywhere that I would be embarrassed to have mine as long as the reason behind the placement is completely random.

I suppose it's a good thing that my hair covers mine. Or that it seems most have them somewhere normally hidden under their clothing. Perhaps that's the key, they are placed based on the likelihood to expose the location visibly to others.

That's a bit closer to the personality theory.

That seems like a stupid reason for the placement of something as serious as what binds us to the gods we serve.

There's about as much sense in all this as throwing a stone in a puddle while it's raining and getting mad when it comes out wet. The whole thing's a bit of a tasteless joke.

I wasn't disagreeing. Why would I, when they stripped me of all my memories? There's just nothing that can be done about it.

You don't have much fire, do you? That's fine, some folks aren't predisposed toward that real of things.

My decision to not be reckless does not mean I lack fire. I think it's quite clear from recent events that there is little any of us can do to change the way things work here. But if you'd like to follow in their footsteps, then that's your prerogative.

Following in whose footsteps, exactly? I do hope you're not comparing me to that fool who went wild the other day. That'll really hurt my feelings.

That is who I was referencing. I was not specifically comparing you to them as you seem... sane in comparison, albeit reckless, if you're considering opposing those in charge. Especially so soon after such a stunt, when they will be on high alert.
