It seems strange that I should only come to you all when things are rough, but that appears to be my sole duty as of late.

I must start this message by apologizing for the behaviors of my brother. His actions were unwarranted and chaotic and I should have seen something like this coming from him. I'm embarrassed to say that we had no idea of what he was scheming, and for all the loss of life and the damages I am truly, greatly sorry.

That said, it pleases us to no end that so many of you new gods and shinki have worked so hard to protect our home and to clean up after the disaster that befell us. We are truly grateful to have good souls like you here with us. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Know that we do not plan to punish the other party involved in the destruction that has happened here. We had detained him and are keeping him under close watch for your safety as well as his own. Please understand that we have made the best choice that we can.

Again, we apologize for what has happened and we hope to be able to curb anything like this from ever happening again.

Hey there, hope you don't mind! It's Tsuzuki Asato -- Tajimamori? You wanted the names I had for our missing gods, right?

Hi, yeah, that'd be great. I only got here a couple of weeks ago, so I've been kind of playing catch-up on public information as it is, you know?

Oh yeah, I bet. -- What's your name?

Anyway, anyway! Um. The ones I know about for sure are ... got a pen? And do you want their divine titles too?

Oh, sorry—it's, ah, Ni. Jianyi. [ a shuffle in the background. ] Yeah, please. Or if you have a ton of them, I wouldn't mind just taking a picture, or something. Whatever's easier.

Bo, divine title Frejya. She was the first one who disappeared who I found out about. Yuuki was her shinki back then. Kiryu Joshua, divine title Tajimamori, but it sounds like what happened with him might be different. For one thing, he came back. His shinki disappeared at the same time, too, and I don't know if he ever came back.

Vector, divine title Ma'at -- Yuuto was his shinki. He told everyone he was going to the underworld and released Yuuto to find another god, and nobody saw him after that. His temple disappeared like the others, though, plus we couldn't find any signs he'd ever been near the entrance to the underworld.

Kurosaki Hisoka, divine title... umm. He didn't really like his, I don't remember what it was exactly. He was some kind of library god, though. And his was -- he came here as a shinki, died, came back as a god a day later, then disappeared later on.

Commander Shepard, whose divine title was Morrigan. I don't know if her temple's gone, but she's not answering her texts anymore.

Morrigan sounds familiar. That must be Commander-kun. I hope that, um, Yamato's doing all right.—Did you say there's a physical entrance to the underworld, or am I misunderstanding?

There is. Don't go there unless you aren't attached to the idea of getting back out again. From what I hear, Izanami doesn't like to let people go... and she's a whole lot more powerful than fresh meat like us.

[His sigh echoes tinnily over the receiver.]

Yeah, she's Yamato's god. Was, I guess, unless something else happened. I should go check on him.

[ A thoughtful hm. ]

It seems like it'd be easier for the powers that be to just send whoever back where they came from, but I wonder if that's really true. Would you happen to know where the entrance is? I'm not planning to go in myself, if it makes a difference.

Sure, if they're the ones that brought us here. Amaterasu sure hasn't talked like she knows what's going on.

[He sighs again.] Seriously -- bad idea. I went down there myself once. We only got out because Bishamon was with us and well armed, and even then, one of us died.

What do you want to know about it for?

It sounds like an ideal place to hold souls, right? But if you've been there and don't think it's worthwhile, I'll take your word for it. Do you mind if I ask what you were doing?

Looking for a guy who said he was going there and then dropped off the face of the earth. It turns out he wasn't there, though, and from what I can tell he probably never was.

So that's a dead end.

[ Pun maybe intended, but it's as low-key as possible. ]

Well, um, I have a lot of what seem like notes put together by Susano'o, or whoever he was, in code. If Amaterasu's people want them right now I'm just going to give them copies. I wish I could say I trust them, but you know. [ A pause. ] If I find out he knew anything useful maybe I can get your opinion on it, yeah?

You have his notes?

[Tsuzuki's tone is shocked, voice jumping up half an octave.]

I saw him working on some of his sigils a while ago, but that's as close as I ever got, and that was a first draft, from the shape he was in.

I'd really appreciate a look at those. Maybe we can put our heads together.

Sure, of course. Any time. I have a long way to go, but it'd probably help to have somebody to bounce things around with.

Same. I'm pretty good with ofuda magic, but outside my specialties, I'm not the greatest... and I didn't recognize a lot of what he was doing, that's for sure.

Two heads are better than one! Anyway, where can I find you to take a look at those?
