It seems we have an infestation.

They can't be killed by one god-shinki team alone. I've tried.

My suggestion is to group up in pairs of at least two god-shinki teams and attack simultaneously.

I'm familiar with the non-ayakashi half of these creatures. If you have questions, I'll do my best to answer.

How simultaneous do the attacks need to be and are there any known weak points?

It's difficult to say if there are any weak points. I suppose that's just going to have to be trial and error.

The way these things are normally, they blur the lines between two planes and have to be attacked on both planes to do any damage. But that isn't exactly applicable here, and going it solo isn't working.

I would say that as long as two attacks are made at roughly the same time, it should hopefully cause a similar response.

When you say planes, do you mean two realities or timelines that are similar enough to be overlayed or is it the division between physical and spiritual?

They aren't completely ayakashi. The other half is something called Noise. It's a hybrid that really shouldn't have been attempted, but you'll have to bring that one up with the one that made them. I'm not here to field complaints.

That is what simultaneous means, isn't it?

Sorry, I meant how exact timing of blows, exactly. Since the way you were talking about it, simply attacking them with more than two people isn't enough to do actual damage to them.

What's the non-ayakashi part of these things and how much harder to kill are they than normal ones?

Noise. Creatures that exist on two planes simultaneously. That's where the teamwork aspect comes in. In the world they're native to, there's a mechanic in place to deal with this. But that mechanic doesn't work here. There aren't multiple planes.

These are strong, but defeatable. As long as you take my advice, anyway.

i think it's wonderful that you have to be in a team to fight these things...! sure those that are used to fighting alone might have a tough time, but this is a great way to make friends!

Isn't it? I suppose those that are more used to going alone will just have to adjust or face the consequences.

"face the consequences" sounds kind of dim, so even with those people we all need to make an effort to help them, too.

lots of people don't like group projects or working together. (´ω｀*) lots of people just prefer to be alone. (*ﾟｰﾟ)ゞ but i believe that the main point is that we are all connected. if not on a team, then one of our actions affects another's. this mechanic to defeat these ayakashi only emphasize that point and gives it a definition: it makes each action have a time frame and space for that connection between actions to occur.

I understand that whatever he crossed those ayakashi with, he was trying to negate their instinct to prey on humans.

The other "half" -- what do they usually behave like? What's their "prey"?

Funny enough, Noise and ayakashi are very similar. Noise feed off of negative emotions. The worse the emotions are, the worse the Noise infestation.

But he's done something to them. Something that makes them lean less towards humans and more towards residents of this Shore. It clears up the problem of them going after humans, yes, but on the downside, we're the ones subject to attack. We're the prey.
