[Sora joins the pet brigade when he finds his old pal in his room eating his shoes when he wakes up that morning.
He posts a video entry to the BBS and the video starts with the camera aiming down at Sora’s bare feet before it flips around to his face and kind of up his nose. Then he lifts his phone and finally gets in the correct selfie position. He’s grinning like a goof.]
Guess what! You know how everyone’s been waking up to pets and dragons and lego pets and stuff? Well I’d like you to meet my dream eater, Wan!
[He flips the camera around and the shot pans to a weird looking fat dog cat thing that’s rolling around on the ground and has sparkly hearts and bubbles puffing off him.
Sora can be heard on the other side of the camera,] Great, right?! He can cast spells and attack and do special combo moves with me! He kicks butt! Add, I bet he could help your lego pet figure out his attacks and stuff whenever you get around to that!
[Then out nowhere a strange black creature leaps into the frame and attacks Wan. The creature looks like a black cat with two tails.]
Hey! No! Stop, don’t fight you guys!!
[Sora suddenly drops the phone and the camera pans to the ceiling and the sounds of a cat screeching and electricity crackling can he heard in the background. The fighting is accompanied by loud clattering and Sora shouting for Riku Replica.
The video flickers out to black. A second later it flickers on again. And Sora can be seen with Wan in his lap snoozing away happily.] Anyway It’s really great to have my buddy back, I thought I’d never see him again! I wonder if any other dream eaters will show up?
Oh by the way, does anyone know if it’s possible for ayakashi to ever change back into good spirit forms? Is there a way to purify them or heal them up so they’re not ayakashi anymore?

Naminé probably had something to say, but Wan is so cute she can't... really find the words. Gosh. ]

Hello, Wan...!
BBS: Sheryl
he looks so soft and huggable like a teddy bear! (●⌒∇⌒●)
no subject
he's really squishy and if you hug him super tight he doesn't even care! ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ
no subject
metaphorically speaking, right? (=ↀωↀ=)
this reminds me
i should conduct a poll! the "cutest mascot of Takamagahara"
no subject
[Oh no Sheryl don't make a competition out of it Sora will get fired up.] cutest mascot?! wan would win for sure!!
no subject
can that creature enter my mind and swallow all my dreams whole?
are you sure about that? i have to take a picture of him first ~(uWu)~
in *person*
no subject
[aka, Sora has no idea how it works. Riku probably would if he could remember anything. But don't be scared of his bear-cat-dog.]
okay okay okay! come get the best picture of him you can, he'll blow the competition away!
no subject
but if he won't enter my mind and he's harmless like you say, then i'll take your word for it
give me the time and day. i'll give him the best angles! ☆

no subject
make sure to bring him tomorrow!

[... that's the weirdest looking cat he's ever seen, though. Is it a cat? Maybe it's a dog or a... small bear or something...? Who knows.] Your dream eater certainly sounds like it's battle-capable, so I guess you weren't lying about that part. Fine, I could use a change of pace so I'll come by later today. It would be a good opportunity to try out your dispelling ability on the security system as well.
Why are you asking such a bizarre question, though? You purify ayakashi by destroying them with a shinki weapon. Shouldn't you know that already?
no subject
alright!!! wan will be really excited to meet him. i bet they'll get along great!
yeah of course i know that i'm just wondering if there was another way instead of killing them. like changing them back into something else? without them having to go poof?
no subject
Why would you want to do something like that? That sounds like it would be even more annoying than the usual tactics. Don't tell me you're starting to feel pity for them.
no subject
i just want to know if it's possible! if a spirit kitten turned into an ayakashi, if we could change it back into a spirit kitten, you know??
-> action?!
It's still a suspicious line of questioning, but he doesn't bother to ask any more about it. He's headed there anyway, so it would be better to just wait until they're face to face and Sora can't escape as easily. He still takes his sweet time to show up, though. It's not until later in the evening and after all the cleaning is done that Add finally decides to swing by Baldr's temple with his floating purple cube in tow. Rather than knock or call Sora to make sure he's home he'll just snoop around the temple grounds until he stumbles into someone.]
no subject
But it’s not Sora that finds Add snooping about, it’s his Meow Wow. The fat creature peaks around the corner to stare at Add before letting out a strange sounding peep. Then it waddles over to blink up at him as if saying hello.]
no subject
... it's a lot fatter in person. But it's also kind of cute? He crouches down to examine it more closely, holding out a hand. Will it let him pet it...?
Meanwhile, Apocalypse is fine with hovering at its master's shoulder for now, not quite hiding behind him.]
no subject
A few moments later Sora comes walking down with a determined look on his face.] Where is that stupid c-
[...Why hello there, Add!] ...Add? When did you get here?
no subject
Add immediately snaps to attention when he hears Sora calling out, though. He suddenly stands up straight, coughing awkwardly to hide his expression.]
I said I was coming over, didn't I? I... brought Apocalypse.
[Apocalypse, who is still floating low to the ground next to Wan. It has by now identified the unknown creature and turned its cat features on accordingly. New friend??]
no subject
Oh, right! [Sora seems unfazed that that Add's already inside his temple, hanging out.] It's nice to finally meet you for real!
[He grins brightly. Add looks about how Sora pictured him, except for the strange purple eye color.]
So that's him, huh? He's bigger than I thought he would be!
no subject
But that's a topic for later, perhaps. First thing's first—]
It's a hologram, so the size can vary. The largest I've seen it go is about four feet high, but it can become smaller than that as well. Around palm-sized. [any smaller than that and it would just be a bare core.]
So, about this dispelling ability of yours... how exactly does this work? Should I have it attempt to access the combat program first?
no subject
Yeah, all you'll need to do is bring up where you're supposed to put in the pass code and I should be able to crack it from there. Nothing fancy to it, I just poke it.
[Sorry Add, if you were looking for a more scientific or logical explanation to how he does this, he doesn't have that for you. Just touch and unlock. Poof. Just god things.
On the floor, Wan manages to roll back over and waddles over to Sora to sit down patiently next to his foot. All while still occasionally meowing.]
no subject
He sighs at that overly simple explanation, but asking for a better one would probably just lead to more headaches. For now, he signals to his cube with a raised arm, speaking in a commanding tone.]
Apocalypse— [It instantly snaps to attention, appearing at his side within a fraction of a second. He phrases the next part of the command carefully.] Access file name HA-20462 and display.
[The cube flashes for a second, then a purple translucent screen pops into existence next to Add. He reaches out, expands it by pulling one of the corners, then spins it around to face Sora. It bobs slowly in the air.]
UNKNOWN ERROR DETECTED IN USER QUALIFICATIONS.
PLEASE ENTER SECURITY PASSCODE FOR MANUAL OVERRIDE:
┌──────────────────────────────┐
└──────────────────────────────┘
[He can move it around some more if he wants. Or stick an arm through it—it's actually not solid at all, even if it looks like it might be.]
no subject
Even Wan seems impressed because he tries to jump up to get closer and lets out happy woofs and puffs of pink energy. Sora toes him over with his foot and then grins.]
Alright, let’s see what we got here.
[Sora reaches out and hovers his hand right over the holographic screen. With a moment of concentration, he then touches the screen and it fizzles for a moment. Then it works.]
no subject
For all of two seconds.
Apocalypse suddenly flashes a deep magenta, almost red, its body straightening out stiffly compared to its usual lazy, angled float. Before anyone can interact with the screen further, it snaps shut and is replaced by a newer, more menacing window.]
SYSTEM MALFUNCTION DETECTED.
SECURITY SYSTEM HAS BEEN DISABLED BY UNKNOWN USER.
INTERFACE WILL BE DISABLED UNTIL ISSUE IS RESOLVED.
SYSTEM REBOOT IN T-120 SECONDS.
02:00:00
[The timer steadily counts down. Add moves closer to Sora to get a better look at it. He frowns.]
That's... concerning. Apocalypse, cancel system reboot! [...yeah, nope, no response.] Re-enable interface? ... Activate manual override?
[When none of that works, he moves next to Apocalypse again and tries lightly (and not-so-lightly) tapping on it's surface, but it doesn't show any reaction at all besides bobbing in the air from the impact. After a minute of this Add gives up and sighs, leaning an elbow on the unresponsive cube.]
You better not have broken it. I didn't think your little magic trick would do something quite like this.
no subject
That system reboot countdown doesn’t look great either…
He gives Add a surprised but apologetic look.] Hey, it’s not a magic trick! I didn’t know it was gonna do that! [He frowns,] But it did say access granted for a second, so it worked, maybe he just didn’t like that I got through?
[Wan woofs impatiently and starts to pace the room back and forth but Sora ignores him for now.]
Maybe we should just wait for the reboot? [Guessing! He’s not the technology expert here!]
no subject
[...but at least they don't have to wait long, it's only a two minute timer. Once the countdown hits zero, it flashes for a second before the screen closes itself out. Apocalypse flickers a few different shades or purple and white before settling back into its usual colours, cat features reappearing. Add stops leaning on it, giving it a gentle pat on the head as a test. When it "purrs" and rises into it, that's enough confirmation for him that it's working. Onto step two!]
Apocalypse, access file name HA-20462 and display. [If they broke it the first time, it might still be accessible, right??
... except a screen doesn't pop up right away like last time. Apocalypse stops vibrating, light shimmering across its surface contemplatively for several seconds. Add frowns, opening his mouth to speak again when—
A new screen opens up, small and close to Add's face. Sora will have to try and read it backwards, unfortunately, as it doesn't seem to want to move when Add tries to flip it around for him.]
ACCESS TO FILE HA-20462 AND OVERRIDE FUNCTION HAS BEEN
RESTRICTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECURITY PROTOCOLS.
GUEST USER N-2514731 "Sora" IDENTIFIED AS SECURITY RISK.
NORMAL ACCCESS AND FUNCTIONS WILL BE RESUMED AFTER
GUEST USER N-2514731 "Sora" HAS BEEN REMOVED.
I AM SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE, MASTER.
... Hmmph. At least the security system is resistant to hacking attempts... [even if he can't help but sound disappointed. No shortcuts to the cool stuff...] Oh well. It was worth a try.
[He takes his hand off the cube to close out the holoscreen, and... Apocalypse shrinks slightly and hovers closer to Add's back, watching Sora from behind its master's shoulder. Maybe a little wary of Sora now. Add hasn't really noticed that yet, though.] If it can't be accessed directly, there must still be some way to activate the program. Introducing it to a combat situation, perhaps... you said your Dream Eater could fight, correct?
no subject
He frowns apologetically. He's only trying to help so that Add could access everything for his pet. He didn't mean to intrude! But, maybe he can regain Apocalypse's trust in the future? He's guessing it might be a little harder than just buying some robot chocolates and saying he's sorry though...]
It's a good thing he has a backup for hacking, that's pretty smart!
[Wan is still pacing, and Sora goes to pick him up. The Meow Wow doesn't struggle and instead seems to melt contently into Sora's embrace.]
Yep, he can! He's pretty tough, if there's any way to get that program to work it's with Wan.
[He gestures towards the door and starts towards it.] Let's go outside on the beach to try though, last time I had him fighting in here he broke a giant hole in the wall.
no subject
And Wan doesn't look like he'd be capable of much in combat, either, but appearances aren't everything. Though it's a bit hard to feel threatened by such a cute, chubby cat thing named after the sound a dog makes.]
You didn't explain it too deeply before, but you mentioned spells and such. What kind of spells can he use? And combo attacks...? [Like the two of them attacking together?? Add probably can't do anything cool like that with his cube since he can't fight, so Wan has them beat in that department for sure...]
no subject
Sora looks over his shoulder at Add and grins.] He’s only got a few spells, he’s more of a physical attacker than anything. But he’s got stuff like spark and balloon. [Stuff that Add would probably see in their little pet spat.] and a few other tricks up his butt.
[Sora laughs, turning to face Add.] He has a few combo attacks with me, but I don’t think you want us to team up unless you want to fight too?
[He’s not against that either, he enjoys all kinds of practice matches. He lets out a little whistle and Wan comes bounding back to them and makes a noise that sounds like a woof and a cat hissing at the same time.] Let’s see what Apocalypse can do!
no subject
Did you really just name it Wan?[He has a lot of feelings about names, okay?]
no subject
no subject
Chopsticks would be much cuter. If you call him Wan it just sounds like you're barking at him.no subject
that's exactly the point kurama! his name is woofs!
no subject
It's a good thing he's so cute, because you're weird enough for both of you.[He wouldn't be the first friend of Kurama's to pick such a ridiculous naming scheme.]

The sad thing is that it seems I meant it as one.
