Video - BBS
From: Chikusa Kakimoto
Date: June 9

[As a general rule, Chikusa tends to look sort of like garbage, even on good days. For starers, he's so tall and lanky that one would be forgiven in thinking he doesn't a lot, despite the opposite of that being demonstratively true at any Far Shore event with free food. He also somehow manages to look perpetually exhausted, as if the world is really wearing him down and he'd love to get off the ride anytime now.]
[Today, however... He looks about as bad as when he first lost Axel, for anyone who were around to see him then. There's a distinct redness to his eyes that stands out in contrast to the shadows directly underneath them, as if he hasn't been getting any sleep. Spoilers: it's because he hasn't. Additionally, while there's no way for most people to know it, he's still wearing the same zombie beanie from when Minako came to visit.]
[Additionally, while the camera isn't focused on him and can only catch the top of the messy blond head, it's quite apparent that Chikusa is holding Ken close to him.]
...Hakkai-sama is gone.
[A post was already made about this subject? Joke's on you, Chikusa hasn't really looked at the BBS in days now.]
...But... His school isn't. And someone still needs to take care of that... So that's what I'll be doing. I'll be taking Ken and some things there today, if you need me.
[He doesn't promise that he'll speak to anyone, let alone help, and it's probably debatable if he'll even make eye contact with another living or afterliving creature... But he'll be there. Still holding onto Ken.]
If there's anyone who was using that place to teach... Let me know. Same on if there's anyone else who wants to teach.
Relatedly... I'll be starting to teach there as well. My subjects will be kanji, mathematics, murder, chemistry, first aid, housekeeping, and cooking...
[Going to... mention that one in the middle, Chikusa? No? Okay.]
I might... host some of those on the BBS if I remember. Hakkai-sama is very frugal, so the housekeeping class should be useful for newer gods, or temples that spend a lot. For cooking... What kind of recipes would people like to see more of...?

If you need help with first aid, I can back you up on that.
[Not even going to touch the murder class, nope.]
For cooking, beginning with recipes that can build on each other would be good. Like starting with cooking rice, then cooking fried rice. Or starting with a soup and adding onto that.

[The school is one of the only really permanent things that was left behind of Hakkai. There were a few thing, such as the gifts they got from him, that remained, and the cats that weren't nekomata...But those don't count. Not really. So Chikusa wants to completely check on just what other people have access to.]
[They can't lose this.]
you just put things in water in a pot and that's soup
[...He is perhaps oversimplifying things right now, although he's also not... technically wrong? He's having A Time, ok]
but i'll keep that in mind
no subject
Yes, true, but you would be surprised at how bad people are at figuring out what to put into the pot and for how long.
no subject
[He might double check just because there's no such thing as being overly cautious, but it's fine.]
rice gets used for just about everything in japan so i guess that's probably a good thing to start off with. although i guess i depends on if people remember to get rice cookers. maybe i'll cover the differences.

If you need help with supplies for the school, let me know.

Mum wants me to keep going to school. I can help teach housekeeping while I’m there, if you’d like
no subject
[Yes. Even with his and Ken's room having looked like that. Listen. They had a hoarding problem. The only problem they might not have a hoarding problem anymore is the overwhelming horror of impermanence.]
[Or maybe that will make them hoard more. They're still dissociating too much for it to be clear. Which is probably why Chikusa can't pick up on the obvious.]
you can do whatever you want. your mother is a god
[There's supposed to be a question mark there. Chikusa can't be assed to add it.]
no subject
Yes, sort of. I’ve rather allowed myself to be adopted by Ayumu.
no subject
[But upon reading the other half of the response...]
[Chikusa doesn't reply back to Joss' message for a good two hours. When he does, it's succinct.]
you don't have to come

I did some English, and helped other shinki with various when needed.. If you need me for anything else let me know, okay? Both of you.
no subject
...English would be good... I'm better at Italian and Japanese anyway.
...What does that second sentence mean...
no subject
So I'll stick around for the English, then.
[ Usually D2 would joke about Chikusa not getting what he means but, well. ]
It means, if you need help in any way you can ask me and I'll do what I can.
no subject
...I don't think there's really a lot that can be done here. Can there?

and his memory as well as elsa-san's
by interfering with the education
of those they wished to have it.
the school is not only yours to do with as you please.
you bring dishonor by using it as a tool
to carry out personal vendettas against others.
i am not the enemy you are making me into
but even if i was, the children should not suffer
because of another's mistakes.
i will not come to the school except to collect what is mine
but you will not be allowed to bring harm to my shinki
in your anger and grief.
[Is she saying this in public? She sure is.]
no subject
you never cared about Hakkai-sama's will and wishes before. only now, when you have something you want. typical.
even now you're trying to twist yourself into a victim. i never threatened anyone but you. someone like you shouldn't be anywhere near what Hakkai-sama left behind.
you don't have to pick anything up.
[...Because Chikusa may or may no be looking around to try to find all of it while wondering if it will be stuff that he can use one hand to get rid of. He's sort of still holding onto Ken.]
no subject
which i am doing in spite of my own best interests.
everything you've said or done to me since i came back
has been poisonous nonsense meant to hurt me
and i've taken your abuse for hakkai's and ken's sake.
i'll be collecting my own things
and attending to my own affairs at the school.
you can't be trusted to act on behalf of anyone's well-being but your own.
you've been indulged and allowed to run roughshod over others
without consequence for entirely too long.
no subject
[To just completely dismiss all of it as nonsense...]
it's always poisonous nonsense when it's inconvenient to you. no one can call you out on lying or purposefully self destructing. no one can even be upset with you.
i shouldn't be surprised. that's in line with your favorite lie of being an innocent victim.
your things aren't here.
[That. is partially a lie. Some of them are still around, but Chikusa is certainly working hard on that.]

Ah... Fine, he'll respond. Not with video- there's too much to keep hidden away right now. Chikusa could see it for all he cared, but it was too easy for people to read over these threads. ]
Sucks about Hakkai.
[ No shit, but hey, at least he acknowledges it's a shitty thing. He doesn't have a vested interest in the school, so all he can do is talk shit. ]
I've got trouble imagining you teaching all those things, though. Sounds like a lot of work.
no subject
[This is weird.]
...It is. I hate it.
[Work is for people who have that amount of energy.]
But I can do it.... I just don't want to. Like most things.
[At least he's honest.]
no subject
Also, Judar's really too tired to try. He hasn't had any kind of rest for about a month now. ]
Dunno. Sounds like you're indulging on some things with those subjects.
[ Why would you teach murder? ]
no subject
[Either way, there's a slight pause.]
...I guess. I've sort of started to like cooking since I became a shinki. All the clean up is tiresome after, but the cooking itself isn't bad...
[That's what they're talking about, right-]

And in their mind, Chikusa is a friend.
(And then there's Ken being a kindred spirit.)
So one dog has made Gralat let it reply and Kallaste and Onni are letting out sympathetic whimpers and dog sounds. ]
no subject
[...It's not like it can hurt.]
[So he hefts his boyfriend up a little bit to better see dog friend on video.]
...Want to be a teacher?
[Chikusa, why are you asking the dog that]
no subject
This is a serious question, of course the dogs have to consider it with all the seriousness it requires in return.
Which obviously means woo-ouf! yes, they do.
Meanwhile Gralat is also wondering why this kid is asking the dog that, because it is a ridiculous question. ]
no subject
[Ignoring the judgment he's getting here, Chikusa keeps going. Talking to the dogs is better than talking to some other people, honestly.]
