This morning I was woken up by my dear Inoshishi no Ino nuzzling his face into to my armpit. What a wonderful awakening, today is simply the best day!

Hajime, Sheryl Nome, isn't he every bit as cute as I said he was? (*/∇＼*)

He's from the wild and I don't think he's more than a month or two old, so he's really only seen two people before. I think he'll start warming up to people once he's had a chance to get used to them.

what does he eat, by the way... a lot of grass and milk?

....Well, anything, actually. Adult boars eat about 4,000 calories worth of food a day, but mostly, I've just been sharing with him whatever I'm eating.

i heard that you can't feed dogs chocolate or else they'll get very sick

Dogs and boars do not have similar digestive systems, so many of the things that would get a dog sick would not bother Ino in the slightest. In fact, the members of the suidea family, that is to say, pigs, boars, and hogs, have similar dietary constitutions to those of goats. They'll eat basically anything that's digestible, whether that's plants, insects, or meat. What they primarily consume is, of course, defined by their location, but there's very little that I could give Ino that would cause him gastric distress.

so you can give him, for example, tuna and corn and he'll otherwise be perfectly fine
no digestive problems whatsoever

Well, yes, but that's not really a combination that I'd care to put together. He'll get table scrapes until he's bigger, and then I intend to swap him to a high calorie, high protein diet along side table scrap.

i can't wait until he grows up into a strong boar

That seems like such a specific example. Did you have a bad experience with tuna and corn?

it was for a strange weight loss gimmick long, long ago when i first started out
not worth it!

Why would you even? I'm sure you realize that fad diets never work, but just.

That just sounds awful.

And scientifically unsound. I know corn has a way of... passing... but it's loaded with fructose and other sugars. That's why they make syrup out of it.

but it was a lesson learned

only a healthy combination of exercise and proper eating habits will keep my body in perfect condition, anyway
