Anyone know any good fishing spots?

anywhere really, I'm not picky

...you know what, I take that back, don't suggest any place that's ayakashi infested.
Other than that, not picky.

If recent posts indicate anything, the rivers around here are good for catfish.

Do you mind urban fishing locations or prefer something in nature? Saltwater or freshwater? Do you want to stay near Tokyo or do you have a shrine in other areas?

For urban fishing locations, might I suggest Benkeibashi Boat Pier near Akasaka-Mitsuke Station? They offer pier or boat fishing with the cost of gear included in the entrance fee. There's also Ichigaya Fishing Centre near Ichigaya Station if you prefer a more catch-and-release style of fishing.

For saltwater fishing, there are plenty of charter companies operating out of Tokyo Bay. Can't go wrong with heading to Yokohama in Kanagawa Prefecture or Ohara in Chiba Prefecture either. Both are pretty accessible by train (or shrine-hopping). It'd also be remiss of me to not suggest heading to Okinawa. A further trip, but a truly beautiful area.

You like fish? I'll help you. I don't know any but I'm sure we can find some. The central district seems to be a good place to start.

Ah I like eating them more than catching them, we make a good team!

[He grinned.] Apparently, some cats caught a massive one there. But I'm sure there are plenty of spots down on earth too.

You should be jealous of cats. [As a human, he's far inferior to them and therefore should look up at them and wish to be in their place.] Has anyone recommended anywhere to you?

[He does want fish. Da Qing always wants fish.] I can help, or at least keep you company if you want.]

Sleeping all day is fun, but sleeping for two weeks is much less fun. You miss a lot.

[He has no memories, obviously, of ever going fishing but it sounds like it might be fun. Or if it's not he can nap whilst the human catches the fish, that also sounds fun.]

Thanks, I'm sure I'll see you soon then.

The canals are stocked, if you don't mind catching fish who talk.

I don't think they're that intelligent. Their poetry is terrible.

And play pranks.

Would you like recipes? I do have a few good ones for carp.

I have no idea about The Far Shore, but you could probably figure something out for the other one by looking at travel brochures.

Ah, sorry. I haven't fished, so I guess I'm kind of at a disadvantage here.

... I dunno. I've never thought about it before.

I guess it couldn't hurt though. I'm not gonna have to bait worms or something gross like that though, am I?

Yeah uh, can we get those?

I don't wanna lose my lunch while doing this.

If you're looking for fish, I know plenty of places with same-day catches! They taste incredible.
handsome_genius: (genuine worry)

[personal profile] handsome_genius 2019-02-20 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh? Is there a certain kind of fish that you're trying to catch because you can't find it at these stores?

AS LONG AS YOU ARE TALL??? THAT'S A MONSTER, NOT A FISH!

I fail to see how a fish that big still counts as a fish.
