To an extent, I think. I don't know why. Shinki names make sense to be hidden, but whether we're shinki or not shouldn't be such a worrying question.

The shinki are supposed to hide their names?

How could knowing a shinki's name hurt anything?

Our vessel names do cause us to transform when used by our god. It could be something with that?
