That may be true but it's sorta rude to call them dumb.
And it turns out bears are pretty tough opponents.
Much tougher than jackals.
So I think he's earned my respect.

I don't have an argument for something like that. If he's earned your respect, that's fair.

Mutual respect is a good way to get along with wild animals.
You have to make sure they respect you.
But you have to be willing to respect them too.
Even the animals you eat tried their best.
They just happened to be too slow and too delicious.
