Oh, it's easy to find that out.

Go to something like a lake up here in the far shore- it's gotta be deeper than you are tall. Because we're shinki, it's easier to do this test: You jump up high and into the lake. If you start floating up and reach the surface, you're bad luck or cursed. There's other tests to determine which, given how close they are in energy.

Then, once we know which it is, we can fix it.

Yeah, you'll have to try again. You've gotta hold to the integrity of the test, so do your best and hope you don't float all the way up.

Unless you swim up because you were about to drown. Then that means you passed the test and aren't cursed or bad luck.
