[There's a muffled sound of Oscar trying to get something to do a thing, only his hands visible for a moment before he sighs and adjusts the phone so it's recording properly. He's standing in front of a large span of land, sheep and some horses visible behind him.

He sort of. Awkwardly waves at the camera before rubbing at his neck.]

Uh. Hi. Ignore the name on the top of this, it's Oscar, not Lugh, I just can't figure out how to change it...anyway! I, um, got here last month and my...temple? Is basically a small farm. There's chickens and a stock pond and horses and you can see the sheep back there...

[He gestures behind him.]

...and there's space for me to start growing things next month. I can handle it for now, but come spring and summer I...may need some help? If anyone wants to help? I don't have any shinki yet, so it's really just me here for now.

[And that's incredibly lonely. Not that he's saying anything.]

There's not a newspaper to put a help wanted ad in or anything, so...I figured this would work? I can't exactly pray for help when I'm a god, y'know?

[He chuckles, it peters out because oh god this is awkward, and then he just shrugs.]

Yeah. Anyway. I can pay people in food or wool or whatever? So. Yeah.

[Oh! Oscar recognizes that name! Yona told him about that name!

Did not tell him Caster had blue hair, though.]

I, uh, just got here like I said...but thanks. Yona told me about you--she said you know a lot about the...Irish gods? Or whatever we are?

Oh, you friend of Yona? [ Okay he lights up considerably. ]

I'm in Ireland right now. Among other things, I was looking to get a meeting with Lugh but he was nowhere to be found. [ Now he knows why ] I know a thing or two about Tuatha Dé Danann, if you have questions, just ask.

Who is Lugh? I've tried looking it up but I think I need a primer or something. None of it makes any sense.

Oh boy, he got quite a story. You could say he's a sun-god, but he's much more than that. Arts, crafts, skills, that's on him. Oaths, law and kingship too. Initially, he was refused to the court, but he proved his worth with just his wit.

[ No pressure ]

Eventually, he even became the king of Tuatha Dé Danann. [ Caster grins and jokes ] So that's quite a role to fill in considering we have a few of those here.

[Oscar goes a little pale as Caster lists off what Lugh's the god off before quietly just going:]

Seriously? Seriously? Once was bad enough but here too?

[Louder, clearly actually meaning to be a response:]

Uh. Is it going to...bother anyone that I'm fourteen....?

[futhark]

[ Oh boy, that sounds like someone has a problem with a pattern ]

I don't think so- [ Now he feels a little bad about scaring the kid for a petty reasons. Juuuust a little. ] Relax, if someone gives you hard time point me at them.

Feels I owe you at least that, since we're like, related, now.

[ Here it goes, giving the new kid some more shit ]

[That would be Oscar's phone flying out of his hands as he flails in surprise. It lands on the grass, at least, and it's undamaged when Oscar goes to get it.]

[ Caster lets out a bark of laugh at the reaction. Those reactions are so precious..! He is the worst. ]

You mean Cú Chulainn's dad, right? The god you're filling in for?

[ He's still not as open of his identity as Iskandar is. ..but after half of the year and seeing, well, Iskandar hijinks, he lets himself be a lot more open about it than he was before. ]

There is no such distinction for me. Such a rare case I am.

I can joke about many things- this isn't really one of them though.

[ Names are Big Deal and he's quite fond of his own ]

I mostly go by Caster around here, yes. It's easier to pronounce don't you think?

[ He might have heard people struggle with his god name/True name few times too many around here. ]

...but it's literally "Coo Cullen". It doesn't look like that, but if you hear it said it's not hard to pronounce at all!

[ Is this how a guy feels when his boss always gets his name wrong? ]

Sure it's... sorta like that. [ It's all in the accent. Ancient, ancient accent that changed so freaking much till this day ]

Anyway, don't worry about the god-name stuff. I was just teasing ya- there is no hierarchy like that here.

It's just the new guys here, who show up for no reason, and the bunch of old guys who are trying to figure out what to do with them.
