[ First there's a mess of blonde hair, as if someone turned the camera on a little too quickly and excitedly before being fully ready, but then Minako's face - with a big smile - fully appears. ]

So, everyone.. Valentine's Day is coming up, and you all know what that means! [ She moves her eyebrows up and down a few times. ] Of course I'm sure some of you already have found that special someone to spend that special day with, but there must be some people who are still worried about what they'll do on that day!

Well, if you're one of those people, then have no fear! You don't have to spend all day feeling down when you can instead dedicate it to finding the love of your life! That's what I'm here to help you with this year. You see, you can sign up for having one or more quick blind dates on Valentine's Day. Just leave me a comment here if you're interested, and tell me if you're interested in one date, or two, or three, or.. well, maybe someone will set the record for most blind dates in one day?

[ She laughs. ]

Anyway, once you've done that, people will randomly get assigned together and you'll be told the location of your date or dates on Valentine's Day itself! It's that simple!

And maybe by now you're thinking, "aw geez, Minako, I know you're a totally cute and super capable girl, but how could even you do all of that all by yourself?!" Never fear once more, since I have a super great partner in all of this who will tell you some more about this great opportunity!

[ Minako seems to reach for something off camera, muttering a few things under her breath at whatever is there, and then Chikusa is dragged onto the video. Not entirely willingly, from the looks of it. ]

[In fact, Chikusa definitely isn't willing, as is obvious by the fact that he is aggressively not making eye contact with the camera. After a few moments, perhaps giving into the oppressive sparkling atmosphere which is around Minako, he grits out a sigh.]

...No more than three dates.

[They have not planned for more than three. He refuses to do more work.]

Also... we need some people willing to clean up ayakashi on that day, too. There's a variant which seems to be getting worked up about this holiday.... So we need cleaners. Tell us if you're interested....

[After a second, he weakly tries to pull out of Minako's grip not too unlike a cat.]

[ Minako doesn't seem like she'll let go just yet, which means there's a lame and weak tug of war happening on camera right now as Minako tries to maintain her near sparkly smile. ]

Yes, let us know! Now how do I..

[ She reaches over to the camera - thankfully letting go of Chikusa - and manages to shut the feed off after a moment or two. ]

Minako. [Hand to his chest, he bows his head slightly, eyes earnest.] You are doing so much for others. Let someone do something for you in return. You more than deserve it.

[Especially since she can't handle anything more than a date and some fun, and he can easily imagine someone moving on and forgetting her for that. But she's special and bright and fun, and even if he can't do more than casual fun with her, she needs someone to look after her sometimes!]

[ Oh god, did he have to say it in such an honest and serious sort of way? It's super easy for Minako to joke around about everything shamelessly, but genuine concern for her is a lot more difficult to deal with.

Which means she does still try to speak up a little lightly, even though the way she looked surprised for a moment and then smiles definitely gives away the fact she isn't taking it lightly in her heart. ]

Well.. I do deserve it, you really have an eye for these things.. But you should watch out when you say lines like that, you know! They're way too powerful.

[Genuine concern is something she'd better get used to. Edge has her number -- she's not used to it, and not accustomed to receiving it. That cheerful energy she puts up hides that!]

Haven't you learned I do nothing by halves by now?

And does that include Valentine's dates?

[ Because she might actually be pretty into the idea of ending the day with something for herself now, even though it's not really what she had planned. ]

Considering the number of people surely clamoring for your eye that day? I'll have to do something to make sure you remember me best and most fondly.

[Which is a clever way of setting up that he'll be taking care of her without actually giving it away. He expects she'll be weary enough by the end of the day that when he surprises her with something calm and relaxing she'll be absolutely delighted.]

Hey, the plan is to set up people with each other, not with me!

[ Not that the latter doesn't sound like a typical Minako plan. But after the enormous mistake she apparently made with Edge that set something off in her so badly, she would never want to risk that happening again. Not going to potentially ruin anyone's Valentine's Day, nope siree. ]

I promise I'm en-ti-re-ly date free that day aside from you, all work and no fun! So my eyes are all yours at the end of the day! And the rest of me too, since it'd be kind of creepy otherwise.

If you don't have fun setting up dates for others, I'll eat my mask.

[Let's be realistic here. Whatever troubles might lurk in Minako's heart, Edge doesn't doubt for a second that she enjoys this kind of romantic meddling.]

What are you talking about? All of this is purely altruistic!

[ She's 100% going to stalk some of the dates and get some sweet juicy details out of this. ]

I'm doing this because I'm such a kind and generous girl, that's all!

[onehandsomeslickninja]

[He doesn't think for a second that she's getting nothing out of this.]

[But he does believe her, too. She really is the sort to find happiness in the happiness of others. Just one reason why he likes her. Her soul is bright and brilliant, but the light is just impure enough to make you feel welcome in it rather than inadequate.]

Absolutely! And I vow not to ask about anything interesting you observe during the course of it!

[Which won't stop him from listening if she volunteers...]

[ Ah yes, things she just "happens" to observe.. while lying in the bushes with binoculars. Regardless of whether she realises he's way onto her or not, Minako seems to brush it off anyway, not minding any of it. ]

You don't think I was going to ruin a date with details about other dates either way, right? Someone who's as much of an expert at dates as me knows to give you my full attention instead!

Oh, I don't know. If you happened to see something go on that you thought was really terrific and the girl was sooooo lucky to be a part of it, I wouldn't mind hearing about it so maybe I could take a stab at that same scenario myself someday.

[After all, their dates thus far have been terribly conventional. Not that there's anything wrong with that! But he does wonder what special things he could pull off for her to bring a smile to her face.]

[ Oh geez, Edge, you're sure leaving that one wide open. ]

Oh! Well, I saw this guy take a girl to this cat cafe and she looked real happy about it...

[ Aka you're fine (especially since Minako is not available for full on dating, so it would've been totally understandable if he didn't even try to do something fun for her anymore at all) when you just do what you do, so stop worrying. ]

Cat cafes are winners, gotcha.

[Whether or not she's really available, Edge sincerely and truly likes her and wants her to be happy. And he's willing to bet not many people actually look beneath the surface to really care about that.]

I'll keep that one in mind.
