[On the screen is an armoured cavalry soldier and his horse. The two of them seems to be snacking on what seems to be cut up apple slices from a plate. It would be normal, except the apple slices seem to be... rather big compared to their bodies.

The camera moves, showing Yamanbagiri. Who looks both a little confused and... also rather big compared to the cavalry soldier and the horse. Maybe it's the soldier and the horse who are tiny after all.]

These two appeared in my room yesterday. I don't know what they are, except that they like to follow me around.

Does anyone recognise them, or have any idea what they are?

They look like a toy soldier and a horse.

Are they alive or fancy robots? Have you tried to check how squishy they are? Warm? Any of that to see if they're actually toys or not?

I'm pretty sure they're alive. At least they feel a lot more real than I expect a toy to be.

He got upset when I squeeze him too hard by accident.

That is both creepy and really cool.

I wouldn't question it too much. This place has a way of giving us things that we need, even if we don't realize at the moment that we do. Take care of those little guys, and maybe you'll find their reason sooner or later. Or just be the guy who has a mini cavalry at this disposal for maximum ankle attacking powers.

I will. At least I know they're willing to help me. Just got to learn how to work and communicate with them.

Or let them loose at whoever annoys me.

Talking might work. Order them around and see what happens as an experiment first. And if they listen? Then you know how to communicate.

Right. They can understand me at least. I think. It would be easier if they can talk as well.

Give them paper and a pencil and see if they can write? Or teach them to use a pda or something set to the notepad function. Even sign language could be simple enough for yes and no.

All of them, so they can be flexible in any situation. I can spare giving them their own pencil to carry around. Or buy them a small enough pencil.

That sounds like a good plan to go with then. After making sure they're literate enough to write.

They can always draw. But that wouldn't be a problem if it's mapmaking.

Drawing is a good way to communicate.

He looks like a troop. I don't know if he can sneak attacl, but I guess he's small and fast enough for it?

Yeah that's sort of my thought. Normal sized or I guess to him big sized people wouldn't really notice him.

That means I could use him to sneak into small places, if I want him to. Or train him for it.

Yes! That would be really useful for scouting as well, to find out secrets and plots.

Right. I kind of regret not bringing him outside yesterday, but probably after I feel confident about letting him loose.

If I have him around, that's another pair of eyes. Or whatever he might find because he's small.

MAybe he could hear things to relay to you as well, that would make him additionally useful.

He'd need a way to convey his report. I could give him a pen and paper for it.

I'm not really sure if he can speak properly.

I have seen tiny pens and papers can be cut apart so that's not that difficult to fix.

Maybe he can learn if he can't already?

Yes. Since he's with me almost all the time, I can try teaching him if I have time.

If he's with you all the time that shouldn't be difficult, finding a couple moments every day for study.

That's what I'm thinking. Since he's dressed up like a soldier, but he's... small.

I'd need to get to know him better. And figure out exactly what he can do. I know he can ride and fight on his horse.

Such a talented little fellow then, how amazing. Can he jump over things as well, with his little hose?

If he's good at horse riding, he should. How high he can do, I'd need to find out for myself.

[On one hand, the horse look small. On the other hand, maybe the usual limitations doesn't apply to... probably spirit horses?]

Some obstacles should be surmountable at least, though extraordinary jumping skills would be pretty impressive.

I wonder if I can train him to jump really high. Whether he can or not, it looks like I'll need to devise a way to test him.

It shouldn't be impossible, at least. You can try making miniature hurdle's that you can raise really high to test them.

Almost like those toy sets for children.

[Not like... he would know. Or that he walks around the shops sometimes.]

I don't know if I ever make those kind of things before, but I can always learn.

Yeah sort of like that. Maybe you could get inspiration from those.

I don't think it seems that complicated but there are probably books for instructions for the real size version, so you can probably just convert the numbers. And there's the internet, it might be helpful.
