In the aftermath of recent troublesome events, I've been reminded that I was going to ask this of all of you.
How many of you have abilities, whether natural, supernatural, or recently acquired, that can be used to track someone? Furthermore, if you're willing to explain it to me, can you tell me how those abilities work?
After all, if someone else goes missing, it's best if we all know who can help us find them, and don't waste time and energy.

Ah, as for the sword, my first goddess had something similar happen with a sword shortly before her disappearance. She was familiar with the sword that appeared, and I've kept it since then, though it's not really my weapon.
If your goddess thinks it would suit you, I'd follow her lead.

I am following Mai's lead, but I figured you might have some insight too. At least I seem to know how to use it well. I mean, I'd found that out before with practice ones in the dojo. Mai also is training again, but with firearms--even though the Heavens seem to frown on that.

It's lucky that you're already familiar with the weapon! Do the Heavens frown on firearms? I've seen gods use shinki who become guns of various kinds, though they are apparently illegal in Japan. Luckily, no one there remembers us for long.

It might be since we've been exposed to mostly the Japanese ones, that's where the dislike is coming from. I've seen others, but firearms aren't as prominent as other kinds of weapons. Personally, I don't care one way or another.
[Which made sense because with his skills, who needed a gun really?]
I just want Mai happy, and I know she's much happier being able to be as effective as she can be. She's very skilled with them.

[If there's anything that the Heavens do seem to like, it's tradition. Hakkai suspects he'd find it stifling if he thought he actually had to stay here forever, but as it is, half a year is almost an unprecedented span.]
Have you had any trouble finding guns for her to use?

Not as much no, so much as I know she's wondering about bullets. They won't work on ayakashi. Mai is well-aware of the danger a gun can be and very skilled, so she's got something in mind, but hasn't shared what necessarily with me yet.

It wouldn't kill an ayakashi, but it might be enough to injure or discourage one.

I'm not sure if either of us has considered that, but it's a good idea. I'll bring it up to her. Thanks Hakkai.

Because my muse is a giant dork.
Along those same lines, water-balloons would probably work too then. If filled with Holy Water. They're not nearly as accurate as a paintball, but have a better radius for effect, and are easy to obtain and use.
luckily Hakkai is too
