Out of curiosity, if you don't like sweet things and you fear someone's going to do something for your birthday, what should you suggest in place of a cake?

Sure, but there should be something different between the usual stuff and for your birthday. I hear there's ways of cloning what you got, no matter what you are. Use that and have them get creative.

You should try it- it's best if you have someone to share it with. Either way, just ask for your favorite. Just make sure to do it early so they don't go and make a cake and have to waste it.

Cakes don't have to be sweet. There's savory and other ways to make it a cake without it being sugary.

Cheesecake isn't a real cake, if they're going to insist on something cake-like. Muffins, if they're insisting on something baked. Otherwise ice cream, brownies, and some cookies are all a lot less sweet than cake.

Or pizza.
