Heaven's BBS - Video

[all_seeing_eye]

[The feed flicks on to show a hooded figure dressed all in black, standing in front of an intricate summoning circle painstakingly drawn on the floor in some sort of dark powder and holding a lit torch. There are candles positioned all around the room, providing just enough of a glow to see what's going on. The mysterious figure pulls back the hood, revealing itself as one Futaba Sakura. A strange and discordant music accompanied by what sounds like a chorus of voices chanting in reverse fills the chamber, and Futaba closes her eyes as her voice joins them.]

I am Yog-Sothoth! Lurker at the Threshold, the Key and the Gate, Opener of Ways, All-in-One and One-in-All!

[She begins to wave the torch back and forth as if casting some sort of horrible arcane spell.]

I am the bearer of the Silver Key!

[Placing a hand inside her robes, she pulls out what is indeed a very fancy and shiny key, holding it aloft.]

Starspawn - those who lurk beyond time and space - your lord commands you to rise! YOG-SOTHOTH NAFL'FTHAGN!!!

[As she yells out those last few inscrutable words, she throws the torch onto the circle. The powder begins to burn, and eventually what appear to be numerous horrifying yellow tentacles begin to arise from the resulting smoke, which is quickly sucked up and out of frame. Raising her arms in exultation, Futaba tilts her head back and begins to cackle loudly amid the chaos. This goes on for about a minute or two until the feed cuts out.]

[Giving up the thoughtful tone, he laughs merrily.]

Has Saori mastered the curry recipe yet?

I guess I should look for something more obscure next time.

[Her own tone lightens a bit, though. She doesn't seem too bothered.]

Not yet. It's still missing something.

[He trails off, invitingly. He has to admit, he does like her style.]

Oh, dear, I wish her luck, in that case. I thought the batch she sent home with me was quite tasty.

Yeah, not really my thing.

Hmm! And you can't place what's missing?

Yup. It's really weird.

Do you have the list? I don't cook much curry, but maybe an extra set of eyes would help....

[She'll send over what she remembers. It's a fairly standard recipe, except it uses coffee for flavor.]

Coffee! How odd. Do you think it could have been a special coffee blend?

[all_seeing_eye]

Probably. He had all kinds of different blends at the shop.

Then perhaps that's why it seems like there's something missing from her version.

Have her try espresso?

Hmmmm... yeah, maybe. I don't think we've tried that yet.
