And then there is a wheeze. It is a dangerous sound, foretelling the closure of vital airways.)
I can't - (The young Earl coughs into his hand, backing away from the cat with quick, unsteady steps. As a result, he ends up tripping over a box of books and landing hard on his wooden floor.) Ah - !
(He rolls onto his side, trying to speak again.) Asthma - Cats -
Get away! (Because the small beast is in hot pursuit, interested in the boy's antics. Why is this human acting so strangely? Does he have food?)
