Video
Date: Oct 21st
From: Thanatos
[Emizel knew a strange thing was happening in his field by the swarm of butterflies in one area. Every so often something would move in the grass that would send most of them flying back into the air. It was about time to find out what was happening here.]
[And uh...It wasn't quite what Emizel thought it might be.]
Um, does this cat belong to anyone?
[It technically wasn't a cat, but a little kitten in his arms now. Not that Emizel really cared about the details so much. The fact of the matter is that it wasn't supposed to be here and he's pretty sure it wasn't wild.]
It somehow got over here..
[Despite the intruder being secured by their god now, the butterflies were still torn between wanting to see the kitten for themselves and also spooked by it. Who knows what sort of terrors it might bring. They will just have to keep hovering around it instead.]

Action!
[That is until Emizel felt a ping, a familiar one whenever somebody enters his temple that wasn't Viktor - he was easier to detect for separate reasons. For a moment Emizel was kind of...upset though, since it meant that the kitten was probably going to go back home soon. Well, he probably should go answer it anyway. Especially while the kitten was still asleep in his room.]
[The butterflies were also starting to gather again too, at least quite a few of them. They were still a little bit frazzled over the kitten showing up that they were taking even less chances with an unidentified shinki now. Not that they could do much of anything besides look intimidating, sort of? More likely than not they will scatter away if one of the visitors got too close.]
That's enough. He's only here to pick up the cat.
[Emizel recognized Adrien from the post earlier so there was no mistaking that. Seemingly understanding the demon's words, the butterflies began to fall back. Only a couple were still watching intently.]
no subject
Easy. I know they kind of weird me out a bit, too. But they're harmless. [Adrien might want to catch them all though.
Plagg snorts, annoyed because he can't tell Adrien that not all butterfly are harmless.
Seeing Emizel and having the butterflies back off, Adrien and Plagg seem to relax. Adrien moves forward.]
You must be Thanatos. [Way to go Adrien state the obvious. Then he's holding out the bad from the temple. Adrien had stuffed it with extra pastries and cookies.]
I brought these for you as a thank you and apology for Joli. I'm sorry for any trouble she might have given you.
no subject
...She didn't cause any trouble. I think the trip might've worn her out though. ...You can come in if you like.
[Although 'in' where exactly? The structure up ahead looked like it hasn't been used in centuries. A half crumbled mess of stone and the like.]
[Despite that though, Emizel still leads them in. A familiar looking light blue butterfly lands on his shoulder when they got to the walls leading to the courtyard. A few more still kept watching Ardrien for anything suspicious, but kept their distance. Emizel could guess they might be that way for awhile, although, he was also curious about that cat thing he had around...]
no subject
[Adrien isn't sure where they're going into but he's more than willing to follow. If only because he's curious, there's a twinge of nervousness in him.]
Can I ask what's with all the butterflies? Are they like your pets or guardians or something?
[Because wow does he feel watched right now and it's got him as uneasy as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs.]
This is your temple? [It's the first one he's been to that isn't something a bit more homey. This one looks like it's in disrepair. How can a person live here? Maybe he's new?] How long have you been here?
no subject
[And with that the little fuzzy blue butterfly crawled into Emizel's hand.]
...They came with the temple so it's likely why they get along with me and Viktor though. It can take some time for them to get used to anyone else, if they think they're a threat. But from what I can tell they are harmless.
[Alas, Emizel still kind of wishes he got an animal that he could use somehow...]
[But he looks up at the ruins.]
Hmmm...yeah, it doesn't really look like much. I've had it for a couple months now and it's still looked about the same.
At least on the outside anyway.
no subject
Oh. So they were just here? Interesting. [Emizel is right they seem harmless but Adrien just isn't sure what to make of them. Especially the ones with darker sections to their wings.]
Well, it looks like it could use some love and attention. Maybe a bit of work, sure.
'It's a disaster and I know a thing or two about disasters.'
Plagg, don't be rude. We're guests.
[Maybe it looking so bad on the outside is to keep unwanted people from lingering around and getting too close?] Well,as long as you and your Shinki are comfortable..
no subject
[And luckily, he doesn't have to worry about Goten blowing it up now.]
So it's pretty cool...
[Emizel was making it towards one of the 'secret' entrances when he was pretty sure he heard something. --Was it that cat?]
What...is that thing with you anyway?
no subject
[A pause.] No offense. I mean I'm sure it's perfectly fine inside but out here it looks kind of like ancient ruins of some obliterated city.
'Not a thing. But you're right, Kid, this looks like some of my handy work.' [Yes, that was definitely the cat, said cat had bright green eyes like Adrien, black fur. Tikki's going to kill him...] 'I'm a kwami.'
Which is his fancy way of saying he's a magical cat.
no subject
Well...it is better looking inside. I've gotten used to it.
[It takes going down an old stone spiral staircase though. And through another door at the bottom. But this one looked a bit more recent than the rest of the structure? And once through that, well... It did look a lot cozier at least. Modern conveniences could be found here and there even if it meant craving itself into the walls. And even then, it still looked natural.]
no subject
[Adrien nods and follows after him. Moving carefully down the stairs. Green eyes sweeping over the inside with a surprised expression.]
This is amazing. Really it's impressive. I've never seen a place like this .
no subject
[Emizel is pleased that Adrien likes the inside though. See? It doesn't really need to be renovated. He laughs a little.]
I let your cat stay in my room for now so that she wouldn't get away again. Besides, she's got the best bed in the house now!
[Along with the greatest hoodie to burrow in. ...Which Emizel already kind of misses and feels weird without. The lucky floof.]
no subject
[Adrien tilts his head. This place really is nice. He could see the appeal outside appearances aside. He should learn not to make such rash judgments.]
That was probably a really good idea. Thank you. I'm sure she's thrilled to be so spoiled.
[Not like she and her sisters weren't spoiled at home.]
You know if you wanted to come by and see her or play with her or anything you can come to our temple
no subject
Sure, I can do that! ...Who's god did you belong to again?
[Feels like he may have ignored that part...]
[But hey, once they made it to the master bedroom and open the door, there was indeed a little spotted kitten comfortably bundled in Emizel's hoodie. She's hardly moved an inch since he last checked on her.]
no subject
Fortuna. Her given name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng. I'm sure she'd be thrilled to thank you in person for finding our kitten.
[Adrien felt a bit anxious stepping into a stranger's room - it seemed invasive somehow. But there's his pretty girl so he's moving to the bed and reaching a hand out to scratch behind her ears.]
You know if you ever get lonely or just want to hang out, play games, watch a movie we'd always be happy to have a friend over.
[He's laying out the blanket he brought with him and gently lifting Joli from the hoodie to settle her into her blanket.] Mama Marinette is going to be so glad to have you home.
no subject
I'm sure she will be happy to be back home. [And hopefully not wander off again.]
Oh? I may have to visit sometime then.
no subject
She just likes to play with bright pretty things. Sadly for her I don't like butterflies.
[He smiled happily at Emizel.] Please do! The door to out temple will always be open if you need anything or just want to come hang out.
